Posting like that certainly isn't going make john release 3.0 any sooner for sure!

If you had done what he has done, and be as picky as he is, then yes you can wait some more, or go find another skin author to bug...

your not for real are you pal? of course your not bud, i've been a huge supporter , donator and promoter of johns skin for a long time and I'm just showing some excitement ...who wouldnt be flattered with people that are so in tune with his skin that they want more..so zip it up

What I mean is that GPSGate sets up Virtual ports just like XPort3. So my setup is this...

GPS Receiver is Port 13 in rrconfig

Edit: I don't have ComPort 13 setup as a Virtual port in GPSGate
The GPS Software (that came with the receiver) found the receiver on 13 so I put that in rrconfig

IG3 is 4 (Virtual Port in GPSGate)
Destinator is 5 (same)
Street Atlas is 6 (same)
Freedrive is 9 (same)

I hope I explained it better.

everything that needs a gps com uses a seperate virt com. The only program that should point to the real port that the gps is connected to should be gpsgate. Everything else connects to one of the virt coms created by gpsgate

i dont even know why you would even need 4 different GPS programs in your car. seems way overkill to me.

try setting up GPSgate with a com port lower than 10. Make sure all your programs are using a com port lower than 10.

I only use 2 of the GPS programs (iG3 and Dest). I still had the other setup since I was trying to see which one I like better.

I made the changed and it worked great. Now, I can see the stats pull up in the skin.

Now, I have a few other issues in the skin but I will check the readme.

1. DVD - I use PowerDVD (set in rrconfig) but WinDVD comes up

2. Videos - jpg art of Movie, I only see 1st jpg and not when I scroll to other movies
moviename.wmv and moviename.jpg - I have these for all of them in ..\my videos

I uninstall, reinstall MS 5.1 and install MS 6.1 but still error - run time automation error and crashes the skin

4. Calendar - is off the screen to the right, bottom cut off some - I use 640x480 screen so I have to see how to reduce the sizing to fit screen
Edited: Working (Nothing to do with the video drivers, have to change some settings in DFX Rainlender .ini file)

5. Weather - Interactive is cut off as well; same as above

6. TV - Hopefully get Slingplayer working on any TV skin - posted in another thread
Issue: Remote window takes over as main window - winspector has class name but remote window is on top
Edited: Not sure how to resolve
