Okay, yes I am, and unrepentently so. People should be rewarded for their hard work.

Maybe I should of added to my previous post that when I update TC to get the Trafficland cameras I will release an 'advanced' copy to those that have donated

Absolutely. I fully intend to donate or contribute to that project or your charity, whichever you prefer, when it's workable for me. Problem is that without an OSK and with Trafficland changing its camera designations every couple of days, it isn't something I can use. I have contributed close to $100 to John for his work on the DFX skin and spent many hours beta testing and providing John with feedback on this and earlier versions. I doubt there are many on the board who have financially supported the developers as much as I have.
Sure I want John to be rewarded for his efforts on the skin. In my view his efforts have taken RR and carputing in general to a new level. Continued support will encourage him to stick with the project, from which we will all benefit.
I guess we're in the middle of a thread jack (not that this thread hasn't already suffered from a few), so if you want to continue this discussion we should probably take it elsewhere.

My RR Community contributions are $75->Guino, Updated RR Config, Couple of inspiring ideas for 3.0, misc helper AI scripts, and of course my lovely Media plug-in when it gets released..
SIDE NOTE: On the contrary to some of the beta testers thinking that there is not a whole lot left to do before the official 3.0 is released, there is still a ton of work john has to do, besides work that has been done and wasn't included in the beta versions. Even I wish that I had the most recent work that john has so that I can tayor a "DFX 3.0 Media Plug-in" drop-in skin pack.

Yes yes.. indeed.. if the man is not here that means the man is somewhere else doing something more productive like making 3.0 like no other 3.0s... I spotted John a couple of times.. No doubt he is adding more goodies to 3.0... Since the 3.0 beta release, more goodies came out... Dont mean to sound this way, but the old mighty need to become mightier cuz there are some rookies rising with some force baby..
I am telling you this is like cocaine.... can't stop

wow.. i just finished reading about flashdeck for 30 min.... Never got to taste what it would look like... Has anyone came close to recreating the clone of it? Just my personal opinion, i think blk has done awsome job.. Not just actual work, but also allowing other people to explore his work and to take it further working as a team. And equally great people willing to share their talents and helping one another to achieve what all of us would hope to be one of the best skins out there.... It's just beautiful to watch and glad to catch some of the moments... Great job all of you...
About John, I think he will surprise us with early christmas gift... maybe 3.0 super duper ultimate version...

Well, since we are talking about donations.
Personally. I donate if I find the product useful, and I think deserves a donation. If I am not able to use the product, then it kind of kills any motivation of donating. You get more flies with honey than vinegar. Using the "give me money and i'll let you try it" ideal probibly isn't the way to go.. but, this is his skin, so who am I to judge.
I'll donate when it is released and I can actually try it.

I want to make it clear that it was not John who proposed this. When John released the 3.0 beta for testing he made it available as a thank you to those who had previously donated or helped in its development. I, and I alone, am the one who suggested to those who were impatient for the release that perhaps he would make it available if a donation was made as he had done for previous doners. John has never suggested that there would be a quid pro quo for making a donation.

From what I have read John wasn't asking for a donation and I will let you try it. I think it was just his way of saying thanks to the people that sent him a donation.

(I have the following known problem . . my back and forward buttos don't work in music screen . . I've manually altered the audioskin, that didn't help . . after that I downloaded the files from vettepc, but it still doesn't work. After copying that files to the skin folder the following occured, when I press my menu button it changes the logo to. (in my base screen (music/video/gps) I have a opel logo, when I press the menu button to go to settings and so on it now displays a rotating mitsubishi logo :S
Somebody recognizes this problem?)
Edit: reinstalled fx and manually changed the skin files and it seems to work now ..
Next problem: in rrconfig I chose for iexplorer, with the link to explorer.exe
in rr I still see a firefox logo and iexplorer doesn't seem to embed?
