You can download the installer script on the same page linked in the first post instead of having to DL the entire skin again.

You will ONLY need this installer if Road Runner is not installed to the Default Location:
"C:\Program Files\ Road Runner\"

Still not working. Once it runs i get the warning about overwritting, then I get a Windows Script Host error:

Script: c:\....\install digital fx bluel.vbs
line: 190
Char: 44
Error: Path not found
code: 800a004c

Small issue and question regarding Sling Player

The font size is different between Menu and Menu2. I fixed it by editing the skin file.

Also, I noticed that the online and phoco indicators were missing from some of the music player skins and fixed that as well.

I've asked before, and I'm hoping that a Digital FX skin could be created for Sling Player. If you need a slingbox to test it on, I could assist with that. You can check out screenshots of slingplayer on my CarPC here: http://www.hyundai-forums.com/index....12685&hl=carpc and here: http://www.hyundai-forums.com/index....e=post&id=2359

Thanks,

Jarred

By the way, this skin rocks!

That is something that slipped right through the crack with all the beta testing by everyone, and myself!

I guess that just means that not many people go to GPS from the music browser and music playlist screens. I don't because when I'm there I'm usually thinking about what songs to play next rather than where I'm driving. Even so, I'm surprised that somehow I never stumbled upon that bug in the thousands of button presses I've made in Blue Devil and DigitalFX.

Is it possible to have the Digital clock and the compass? I rember you gave me a patch to get rid of the clock in the BD skin, but I was still able to keep the compass. As far as CPU processing is concerned, the compass doesn't use a lot.

Ok, This installer has been a thorn in my side for sure! It's no one else's fault bu my own.

Ok I just fixed it, I installed it to the default location, changed the ini and had it install to drive H: and reinstalled to both locations to see if there were any issues with overwriting ect. It SHOULD be fixed now. I am sorry for all the bugs with this one!

Menu Text's and Slingbox support

Thanks,

I forgot all about the menu's being different, I was testing different fonts on the first menu, and never carried them over before it was released.

As for the sling box, I did a little research on them, and actually found an excellent price on one [url="http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=203138984&loc=111"]HERE[ ($138 with free shipping)/URL]

I just do not have the money right now to invest in this, I wish I did, as it looks pretty kewl! If you can give me the specifications on it, and what key presses, window title names, and whatever I can see what I can do. It will be difficult without one here to test with, so all I can do is try.

In an upcoming version, I plan on making like 4-5 variations of the main menu screen, instead of just "Digital;" and "Analog". So stand by, and I will get it implemented as soon as I can.

Exclamation Attention:

consider this an advanced warning:

Thanks to an email from Steve bringing this to my attention, and some researching, the next version of the skin will disable video while the vehicle is in motion by default. Before anyone panic's here, it can be EASILY circumvented, and the instructions to do so will be in the Help File, but is something that you must disable yourself. There will not be a feature in the skin to enable/disable this feature, as that would completely defeat the purpose. This uses festy's plugin to accomplish this. The files will automatically be installed with the installer, registered, and custom screens matching the skin are completed.

The reason for this? Plain and simple, the law. ALL consumer in dash video devices, of any kind, sold in the US, disable video while the vehicle is in motion. Many with advanced gyros systems that are VERY difficult, if not impossible to overide. On top of that, almost all states already have laws on the books that make any video in the drivers vision while the vechicle is in motion, illegal. On top of that it's just not a good idea to be driving and watching your favorite movie or TV show, but that is od course, up to the end user to make that decision.

Even if you are being responsible, and say have a visualization running, law enforcement could still pull you over mistakenly thinking it was video. If you can show, at that time that it is not possible to play video while the vehicle is in motion, you stand a pretty good change of getting out of a ticket, either on the spot, or in court.

One more concern, in this day and age is liability. When someone uses this skin, I do not want to be the cause of any ticket's or, or God forbid, an accident. If someone is watching Video while driving using this skin, it will be because the user them self has overridden this safety measure, and not due to my negligence.

DigitalFX Master Mute Indicator

The fonts look very similar (Fixed in next release), but if you switch back and forth between to the menu's you can see a small size and font change. (Indicators also fixed)

As for the mute indicators, I just went through EVERY screen, and I did find that it was not working on the applications menu (Fixed now). Other than that, it is working on all screens here. This is a hardware specific thing, based on what line you are using for audio ect. The indicator is for the Master Volume. If you are using wave volume or something else, and mute it, the audio will mute, but the mater mute is not activated, thus the indicator will not show. I have no way at all of testing this here, as both my machine and CarPC use the master mute.

Thanks. At least now I know that it's a hardware issue. It works fine on my two desktops, but not on my carputer. I should be able to sort it out from here.

Since you said the video disabling skin is finished I guess I should mention that it should say "In" instead of "on." Also, for the sake of consistency you may want to capitalize the "V" in "Vehicle."

Good Catch! All fixed, and image above is also fixed. (Not bad, 7 minute response time on that one )

GPS Audio Skin

I found that the Restart song button was not working and the progress indicator is missing.

Fixed it by editing the skin file. The restart song button was actually mapped to repeat.

Jarred

Again, this skin is off the hook!

That's interesting because restart works fine and progress indicator is present on all three of my machines.
