Reassignable Buttons on Menus?
John,
Since you aren't going to release the menu PSDs and you and LiquidSmoke have become such good buds, I'm wondering if you have any plans to include reassignable menu buttons as a feature of DigitalFX ala LSXVoid.

I have given considerable though to that, and would definitely like to implement that in a future release. I don't see it coming any time soon though, as I have another major project that I am on a deadline with. I will tinker with this skin and fix bugs and such, but major overhauls are having to be put off for a bit. Do look for a traffic and album art browser not too far down the road though.
(All thats left is an empty bag, as the cat got out!)

Okay, John, thanks for the info. I do notice that Sonic and DJiK are trying to improve the Jump-to plugin, which doesn't embed that well and is a little unstable. I also noticed that you posted on that thread a couple of days ago. Hopefully, when they're finished you can incorporate the new and improved version in DigitalFX without too much trouble so that it would be part of an "and such" release rather than a "major overhaul" release.

Yea, I like that plugin, but its been a bit iffy since the get-go. And now currently no way to make it match the skin. Hopefully something in on the horizon the way it looks now . Headed out, have a lot of stuff to do today be back on the forums this evening.

Okay, when I loaded RR, I let it sit for about 5 minutes and nothing happened it stayed at 100% cpu load and if I tried to touch any of the buttons I got that horrible error sound. So I decided to go back to Digital FX Blue and when I get a chance, I might install the original 2.0, luckily I still have the file. I'm not too sure as of right now since 1.0 runs quicker for me, I just wish the GPS speedometer was correct.
On a different note, I use xport, which is in the command to execute dialog box on RRConfig. However, I also need to add an additional program to the list. How do I run 2 on startup? I tried using a comma and type in the second path and even tried an additional run in there and nothing happened. One time the PC even restarted on me. Any ideas?

Use the double pipes || to run the second program.
RUN;First Program||RUN;Second Program

shot598, welcome to the club lol. I have yet to figure out a solution. I am guessing it is a flash issue. I'm working on a workaround.

Give that a try and see if that fixes the problem.. (Fingers crossed)
EDIT: After a momentary panic attack, I checked the install file, and the version packaged is the 4/11/07 version. I am not sure how you still have the 03/01/07 version if you copied that one from the desktop that the installer put there, to your RR folder.
Well the problem is resolved, but I don't know what the issue was. Since everyone kept talking about rr.ini, I decided to copy the rr.ini from the working desktop to the nonworking laptop. Started up like a champ.
So that told me that it was likely to be some line in rr.ini. I went through each line, one by one, adding from the old ini to the functioning ini. I finished every line and never had a failure.
So then thinking maybe there was some corruption, strange character in the ini file that was not displaying in notepad, but wrecking havoc with rr. I copied the original full rr.ini back. I expected a failure. But no, it worked.
Bizarre. It's almost like something in my rr.ini was not letting your skin initialize for the first time, but once your skin had done it's initial startup, it continued to work.
So I guess it's not problem solved, but problem avoided
Did anything change in the .skin files? I had added some extra indicators and lables to several sreens. Can I just copy over the skin files, or do I need to cut/paste my additions?
I second/third the request to have a page with customizable buttons! Or maybe you could consider releasing the psd for a blank template page so we could customize and include icons (I don't think you can include icons via a lable command can you?)
Anyway, thanks for the great work and congrats on the the first out of the gate with a transparant skin!

John , If people are having problems with install , flash.
Can you redo your installer so that the first time you start the skin . Your new 3d flash(clocks, calendar, clock moon,.. ) it not a default. Because , I can see how it would cause problems with not updated flash, small memory, or low speed cpu systems.
But, if the default was just the normal setup like 2.0 version. you know it worked.
If people want to change it to 3d version and get lock up. They can just reinstall the installer and be back to default with out the 3d flash.
I think it would same a lot of trouble with other installs that are not updated flash, small memory, or low speed cpu systems. That are crashing & locked up.

labels don't work
John, or anyone else -
Any thought why these labels would work under FX Blue, but will not work under FX 2.0?
L,470,10,50,23,255,255,255,12,"Arial:B","BATTPERCE NT","LEFT"
L,295,10,70,23,255,255,255,12,"Arial:B","POWERSRC" ,"LEFT"
I have these on my main menu.skin. I also have
L,650,290,50,23,255,255,255,16,"Arial:B","GPSSAT", "CENTER" which puts the current satellite count in the middle of the GPS button. That one works. I did that because I had a problem with xport at one time and this was a quick way to see if it was working, then I liked it. No use to load IG if no satellites.
