Control Panel = Folder options = view (tab) = ( uncheck ) Hide extensions for known files types
apply , and check the rr file . it should read rr.ini

Don't feel bad, it happens to everyone. I'm having a similar problem. Everytime I boot I get an iguidance error and I just choose don't send. It's getting kind of annoying. I have alerter turned off along with tons of other services, I know there is a simple solution. I just can't seem to remember it in now though

start = run = (type in )msconfig =enter = (tab) startup.

that won't work for several reason, one of which I don't boot into explorer and even when I try to run explorer it only opens up the explorer window, no desktop, no start, no taskbar, nothing. I use RR as the front end and it works good except that I get that iguidance error on load

I use hibernate just about every time...no shutdowns. But when I was seeing the 19 second delay regularly it was from exiting and restarting RR/DFX.
I am going to keep the setup I have now and see how it acts.
Well, I am still seeing the delays even with Flash 8 and a non-flash setup in DFX 2.0. But...I only saw the delay when the GPS system within RR/DFX was trying to get a satellite fix (to do the speed adjusted volume). Once the speed was determined, things worked OK.
This problem is really bad up here in the northeast right now with such heavy cloud cover for both GPS and XM signals. I loose the signals very easily. Could this sort of thing help explain why some are seeing the problem and others aren't?

I thought it was fixed with 2.0 version
in your skin Check your " ExecTBL.ini" file
see if you have :
Code:
/"ONSKINSTART","RUNQW;$SkinPath$Scripts\OnlineStatus.exe||RUNQ;$gpspath$|NOWARNING"
If so , replace it with this one:
Code:
/"ONSKINSTART","RUNQW;$SkinPath$Scripts\OnlineStatus.exe"
that was the fix for the older version.
I'll look into it a little more.

Thanks, that has to be it since it only started after I went from 2.0 to 1.0 blue. I'm going to give that a shot. If it doesn't work I'll just reinstall the first release of 2.0.

L,295,10,70,23,255,255,255,12,"Arial:B","POWERSRC" ,"LEFT"
I have these on my main menu.skin. I also have
L,650,290,50,23,255,255,255,16,"Arial:B","GPSSAT", "CENTER" which puts the current satellite count in the middle of the GPS button. That one works. I did that because I had a problem with xport at one time and this was a quick way to see if it was working, then I liked it. No use to load IG if no satellites.
Sorry, I have made a bad habbit of putting hidden lablel's and such in that area for testing purposes here. Thats why you cant see your labels, because there is already something there. I have cleared that area out, and your labels will work when I get the next release out here soon.

I just realized the next and previous buttons in the Radio skin don't work. As a matter of fact the next and previous don't support radio or XM - I changed them on every screen to RRNEXT and RRPREV and all is well again in my world.
Now the radio skin has two sets of buttons for next (chan+) and prev(chan-).

Ive got this skin working, and its really good. I especially like the media, player option which shows the gps in the window to the left. Awesome!
One question I have is, is there any way to reduce the volume of the gps voice instructions in freedrive so the instructions arent as loud as the music your playing....or indeed switch them off completely??
Any help would be great, as some of the voices are so loud when your on the motorway that it sounds like the woman is screaming at you! really off putting, especially when she says the same thing three times!!!
Thanks

No, that's not it. I think I found your hidden label. I also have just text label up there ("=Power") and those are displaying fine. I also tried substituting GPSSAT on one of the top labels and it does display there.
I repeated my labels on menu2.skin and the text part displays, but not the variable.
Can someone else please try adding these lines and see if anything actually dispays?
Kevin

John, has there been any update on the GPS Speedometer? Mine is still way off. I think it was at like 110 when i was going 70. That's a little off lol. Is there any code I can change to fix the issue?
