Can someone else please try adding these lines and see if anything actually dispays?

Ok I tried these lines:
Code:
L,470,10,50,23,255,255,255,12,"Arial:B","BATTPERCENT","LEFT"
L,295,10,70,23,255,255,255,12,"Arial:B","POWERSRC" ,"LEFT"
Are these custom commands that you possibly defined some time ago in the exectbl.ini file? BATTPERCENT & POWERSRC are not in the skin commands text file as labels, or anything else for that matter. The only thing even close are the battery labels and sliders for Phoco: "BATTERY_CHARGING_PHOCO"

Go to the second menu, settings, skin settings, and choose MPH at the bottom of the screen. I recently added some code on that button to change the International Standard settings in the RR.ini to KPH and MPH. That should fix you up. Please let me know if this works, so I know for sure. I have not been able to test it, as my CarPC is still not repaired and in the car I'm saving up money now, as I want to just get a new PC for the car down the road.

Okay, I have a class at 11 (in 2 hours) so I'll try that and let you know. I tried it before on 1.0 Blue, did you just add it to 2.0 or 2.1? I am having the issues with 2.1 so I can't test it with that. I'll reinstall 2.0 here in a little bit before I leave though.

No, I'm not that smart
They work just fine in Digital Blue FX - I can provide screen shots later. All from the same RR install.
Unless ... is exectbl.ini per skin?
Edit: ahh, your comment that you couldn't find the commands made me search. It is a plugin, and I need to register the plugin on your new menu.skin Nice little plugin

Can be, there is one general one with is in RR root, and then each skin have their own one as well for skin specific commands.

John, okay I tried the changing the gauges and it still remained way off. When I open up RR.ini it is showing it's MPH but it's still reading 105 at 65.

Yea, I learned my lesson! ALL future updates will default to a non flash screen! In the mean time open the DigitalFX skin folder, then the MENU folder. Double click the Photo.exe file. This will manually copy the non flash skin into the main skin folder.
On a side note, its not your MII12000 board that can't handle it, you have a Flash problem. I just built a CarPC for a friend with that same exact board and it worked fine.

Okay, the "isunits=false" worked. The line wasn't in the file at all so I added it at the bottom and everything is good now.

CPU at 100% PLEASE HELP!

Yes, it is a flash problem. There is NOTHING I can do here to correct that unfortunately. It is on a per system basis
[BEGIN RANT]
Guys, I have posted multiple times:
If the skin is very slugish, or does not respond at all:
Go into the DigitalFX skin folder, then into the "MENU" sub-folder. Double click on the icon for Photo.exe. Then Start Road Runner and see if it works ok then.
I have posted this about 4 times now I think. Someone PLEASE try this and tell me if that fixes the CPU issue.
Mdesk, you were saying it was locked at 100% CPU, then you were talking about other issues, did the CPU issue clear up? SOMEONE HAVING THIS PROBLEM, PLEASE TRY THAT AND LET ME KNOW. This is the only way I can narrow the problem down.
Sorry, I am just getting a bit frustrated is all, 4 pages of CPU at 100%, and not a single reply as to if following the above instructions work or not.
My next step will be to remove ALL flash from the skin, gauges, clocks, the compass ect ect....
[/END RANT]
I am not upset, or mad in any way and I am not pointing the finger at anyone here. I just want to determine if the above instructions in small red pring fixes the problem. Anyhow, any one with this problem, will hopefully notice the text above when skimming the thread

Well, as I have mentioned earlier, my 19-second delay soemwhat comes and goes. I tried running Photo.exe in the skins folder and started up RR/DFX about 7 times with no delays. BUT, I wasn't seeing any delays earlier today either.
But I will say this...I am not seeing any random pauses while using RR. Before I was. For example, while switching to XM from MP3, I would get a pause that would last sometimes up to 45 seconds. Sound would continue, but the UI was frozen or I'd get the Windows error sound effect.
I went into Weather (did an update) and I did see a freeze. I had to reboot. Also, is Rip CD working yet? Cause it's not in my setup. When I click on rip cd, I just get a loooonnnnnggg pause...then nothing.
Gas price finder was working...although the date was off by a week. The time was right though!
Sorry I didn't have more definitive data...
Steve
