"Avic'ted" - Pioneer Styled Skin

I am working on a new skin styled after the Pioneer Avic-D3 in dash Nav system.
I wanted something clean and easy to use with touchscreens, but still keep an overall smooth style.
I also want the main focus to be on music or music videos, so every screen has the current track title at the bottom, as well as other standard information. This skin is also being designed for my own personal use, but I can at request provide the PSD files I used to create these. The skin itself includes the font I used for all the text. Of course, if you want to customize this skin for your own use, please feel free to do so. I would like to see what others would do with it.

This skin uses the triton skin as a donor for code and structure. (Thanks to pwcmed for this.)

Download a Beta Version here:
Night Skin: Avicted RR Skin (Updated 6/08/07)
Day Skin: Avicted Day RR Skin (Updated 6/08/07)
Hosted on my website: jcautodesign.com

Here's the current status:

Overall:
Menu.skin - 100%
OSK.skin - 100%
Exit_Menu.skin - 100%
Settings.skin - 100%
Launch.skin - 100%
Mixer.skin - 100%
Skin_Browser.skin - 100%
OBDII.skin - 100%

Music: 100%
Audio_Browser.skin - 100%
Audio_Player.skin - 100%
Audio_Function.skin - 100%

Video: 100%
Video_Browser.skin - 100%
Video_Player.skin - 100%
Video_Function.skin - 100%

Web: 100%
Wbrowser.skin - 100%

GPS NAV: 100%
Destinator_GPS.skin - 100%
GPS_Full.skin - 100%
External_GPS.skin - 100%

I don't plan on using FM, XM, or Phoco. (all these functions work with my existing deck that will stay in the car.)

Here's some screen shots of the skin (as work moves along, more will be uploaded):

Main Menu:

Audio Player screen:

Settings screen:

Mixer screen:

Web Browser Skin:

OSK Skin:

Day Skin: (High contrast):

Launch Skin:

iGuidance Skin:

The first skin to be completed will be the Blue lighting version, but soon other versions will be available.

Check back here for updates.

Update (current version 1.2):
1.3 - Added album art on main.skin, visu should be set to 100 for default opacity in screensaver.ini, but this is user preference, to see only the visu, set this value to 255
few minor changes.
1.2 - fixed the preview not showing in skin browser by changing main off.bmp to menu_off.jpg
1.1 - Added iGuidance and Launch Skins, enlarged area at bottom with track title.
Changed the bottom buttons to look like they do in the settings screen shot for all skins. (uniformity)
Fixed Vis not loading and embedding correctly. (With Winamp version 5.13) Just click anywhere in the black on the main menu screen to activate the vis if it doesn't automatically load up.
Fixed day skin audio player and audio browser not showing files correctly.

Any comments, questions or suggestions, please let me know.

Sorry, forgot about that, I was so eager to just put them up, I didn't look at the format. I don't like the way that it pixellates the .jpgs though, so the original .bmps can be viewed through my pictures.

Nothing yet, haven't even looked into software or hardware. Suggestions? The donor skin uses digimoto (i guess) so that's what I'm modelling the skins for, at least for now.

coming very soon, it will be limited in functionality though, to just music, video, and web. (I don't have the OBDii or Nav equipment yet)

How should I package it for the easiest release? .zip, .rar, etc.? (And where can I get the stuff to do this?)

How about this one? It has a stand alone obd interface & isn't as costly as digimoto. Seems more like a car dash setup too...

Looks good, is this the way it supposed to load? Also, where is the button for vis?

Go and download the file again. (i forgot to include the font)

I originally had the modern skin for winamp on, which prevents the visualization command from working, so I clipped the frame so show the vis under the RR skin. Fixed it though in the current release, as long as you are using the 5.13 version of winamp and the classic skin, it will work just fine.

Also, make sure you copy the font into your fonts folder to install the one I used.

She's working! With the latest download, it starts with a black screen which is also a big vis button. Great job.

have you used this in the car yet? just wondering how its affected by the sun... seems like a lighter blue would help with contrast.. tho blue in general is pretty tough to seperate from black.

Indeed it's very difficult to see, if at all sometimes. A neon green or like you said, (very) lighter blue would be better. The highlighted text in the audio playes shows up real good tho'
