The playlist buttons are blank. The text is only set by labels in the audio player skin. You can change them to point to whatever playlists you want (in any folder, with any name) and have the buttons say whatever you want. Just edit the audio_player.skin file.

To change the text on the buttons edit the following lines in audio_player.skin
Code:
L13,672,445,122,40,255,255,255,20,"Calibri","=Everything","CENTER" L12,539,445,122,40,255,255,255,20,"Calibri","=Mix","CENTER" L11,405,445,122,40,255,255,255,20,"Calibri","=Mix","CENTER" L10,272,445,122,40,255,255,255,20,"Calibri","=Church","CENTER" L09,139,445,122,40,255,255,255,20,"Calibri","=Mix","CENTER" L08,6,445,122,40,255,255,255,20,"Calibri","=Country","CENTER"

To change the buttons to point to different playlists edit the paths in these lines (same file)
Code:
B14,2,434,130,55,"LOADLIST;C:\Playlists\1.m3u;Playlist 1", B15,135,434,130,55,"LOADLIST;C:\Playlists\2.m3u;Playlist 2", B16,268,434,130,55,"LOADLIST;C:\Playlists\3.m3u;Playlist 3", B17,401,434,130,55,"LOADLIST;C:\Playlists\4.m3u;Playlist 4", B18,535,434,130,55,"LOADLIST;C:\Playlists\5.m3u;Playlist 5", B19,668,434,130,55,"LOADLIST;C:\Playlists\6.m3u;Playlist 6",

The only hard coded (image text) buttons in the entire skin are the graphic buttons (blue orbs) and the audio, video, nav buttons on the main screen.

guess tensai gotta share the .psd files so WE can edit it for our pernsonal needs
but what i like the most is the clean elegant look in it
too much functions will destroy the better thing in the skin
maybe page changing like centrafuse could help with it

anyway... still love tensai work and barely can wait till the next updates

You're right, sorry, i missed it in skineditor. The labels are behind the buttons so when i clicked, the command for "load playlist" kept popin' up.

Ok.. soo... while driving to DIA for my trip last week, my carpc gave out completely. Seems to be that the motherboard is shot. Power comes on, fans spin up... and then... nothing. I've tried resetting the BIOS using the jumpers. I've removed the RAM and tried other chips. I've disconnected everything possible and always the same result. Maybe thats what I get for buying a used board from ebay... Anyway, I've been trying o figure that out all week so I haven't touched the skin.

I figured out how I want to lay out the volume buttons so that they're accessible across all of the screens and I've made a few of the other tweaks so hopefully I'll be releasing an updated version soon. I also plan on releasing the PSD files at the same time. Although, again the download is 60MB and I kind of need my bandwidth so I'll be throttling the download speeds for those files. After that you guys are free to run with it and add any features you want.

Again, I appreciate the support and patience on this. Hopefully I'll have this out before too long.

Take your time, Tensai
I REALLY wish that skin out because it's BEUTIFULL. but you can't rush an artist :P

Try using some hosting service (as rapidshare or similar) to help with the new big sized release. use the hosting service as primary download and keep your site just as alternative link

Sorry about your mobo. I know this might sound stupid, but have u disconected the reset button? Got myself stuck about 6 months on my secundary carputer just because a short circuit on the reset button connector. The simptoms was the same. The fans goes on and after a second the computer goes off. some time it kept on, but no video.
Talking about video, do your mobo has an onboard speaker? or do u have some plugged to it? boot beep codes are VERY helpfull on this kind of situation

No beeps at all usually tells your processor and/or mobo is(are) dead
Short but spaced beeps means your memory is dead
Two very fast beeps followed by another 6 bips means your video board is dead

hope it helps

Thats a good thought. I'll look into rapidshare or some of the other services.

I never have hooked anything up to the reset pins so I know thats not it. In fact the only pins being used on the MOBO header are the power+ and power_grnd. The fans spin up, no video, no nothing. There is a built in speaker, but I don't get any beeps at all anyway. I might just do a little bit of re-wiring and throw in a P4 1.7GHz I've got sitting here. It's funny, cause the whole reason I started this skin was to get the transparencies fast enough for my epia 800 to handle them. If this P4 works out, that won't even matter any more.

Anyway... on with the work.

I updated the first post. There is a download to the PSD files. Note that I did NOT use photoshop to create these images. I used a free program called Paint.NET. Its almost identical to photoshop. Just google it and you can download it. From there you can convert these to actual PSDs or just modify them however you see fit.

I haven't done anything new to the skin and I may not since I'm in the process of making major changes to my whole system, and the skin is the least of my worries at the moment.

Anyway, if you have any questions, comments, thoughts, critiques, suggestions, stories, or jokes, just let me know.

Enjoy!

Updates

So... I lied. I got impatient while waiting for my new hardware to arrive and did a few changes to the skin.

I didn't add any VOL buttons because I couldn't find a way to fit them in and keep it looking clean and un-cluttered. I did get a few other suggestions taken care of.

-The clip region is gone from the GPS screen (allowing for IGNative)
-Added a generic picture to the AlbumArt spot in case there is no album art
-Added ability to preview background before choosing one
-Background image can be stored anywhere on your computer, not just in the $skinpath$\Background folder
-Tweaked the transparencies
-Other stuff

The new skin is available from the first post. Note that the PSDs are NOT current. But you can still download them if you wish.

Name: Audio_Redone.jpg
Views: 248
Size: 33.5 KB
Note: New(ish) audio screen

Name: Background_Preview.jpg
Views: 251
Size: 30.8 KB
Note: Background Previews! The images can be from anywhere on the computer, but you have to browse to them using the directory list ..

ok!

now i'm oficialy in love with this skin

it's the one running on my config now and guess it will be for a long time

tensai, guess u forgot some mute indicator on the main screen
and i thougth about using the mute button to bring a pop up screen to set the volume
that would keep the visual clean and solve the problem

i got the code to do it but not even a quarter of your desin skills. if u want it, just let me know

EDITING

just tested it
still prefer the 2.0 transparencies
and don't like the cd on the album art area (but i can edit it )

read the readme.txt file
don't know if you know, but u can have a exectbl.ini file inside your skin folder
and that will do the trick
but guess there's some better way to update the BGs, just like a pic viewer
never sineffed trough a code for it, but there's some around

keep up with the best skin around IMO

I didn't know that a skin could have its own exectbl file. Some day I'm definitely going to have to read some of the instructions/tutorials. I'll go ahead a make that change real quick so people don't have to go editing their own files.

You're right about the cd in the album art area. I don't ever see it since I have all of the cover art for my music. Feel free the replace it with whatever you find. If you find something good let me know and I'll put it in my version.

I'll take a look at the popup window for volume control. The only draw back to that is that its not accessible from any other screen other than the main menu. But maybe something is better than nothing.

I"m trying to avoid using the pic viewer for backgrounds, in case I decide to implement a pic viewer someday. I thought I was pretty clever with the way I came up with to load previews, but it looks like MGD came up with a very similar solution without using the timer... here.

Humm! I'm not getting the BG preview. Added the line to ExecTBL.ini but nothing.

It don't look like there's an area defined for the preview to show-up..could that be it?

the BG preview works fine for me
but i had the last version installed before
so i guess it's something with the background path

Are you getting a list of files in the directory list? If so, as long as one is highlighted you should be getting the preview.

I did screw up the media browser png files when I changed to the local exectbl though. Maybe I screwed up more than I thought. I'll take a look as soon as I get home in a few hours and get a fixed version posted.
