Should there be an area for the preview defined in here?

The definition for the preview in that area comes from a LDIMG/LOADIMG command in ExecTBL.ini. So it sounds like your command in that file is not working quite right for some reason.

This morning I updated the skin so that the needed command was already included in a copy of ExecTBL.ini located within the skin directory. Thus, no commands needed to be added to RR's default ExecTBL.ini.

Go ahead and remove the line from your ExecTBL.ini and I'll post a new download in about an hour. Then we'll see what we can get.

OK. The fixed version is posted. You should remove any additions you made to the RR default ExecTBL.ini file.

The new version doesn't require any manual modifications. It should just work. Let me know what you find.

Also! Make sure you're using the newest version of RoadRunner (9/9/07).

EDIT: The LDIMG command wasn't available until the 9/2/07 version. So if you're using anything older than that, the previews won't work at all.

Aha! I haven't installed the new version of RR (scared!) yet but i see i'm going to have to. Sorry to waste your time.

Indeed that is an engenious way to make the image show-up; do you think all transparent skins can access the same BG folder with this command (in ExecTBL)?

Oh sure. If everyone decided to use "my documents\pictures" as a background folder then ldimg would work fine. It allows you to set any path to the file.

In SE2.1 if you use the directory listing to browse to any other image file, no matter where it is on the computer, it will allow you to use that as the background from that point on.

The more I skin for RR the more I love it. Guino is the man. He's written some truly top-notch software.

When I first started carpcs I voted on some thread that streetdeck was the best FE because it was easy to set up. But.. I was wrong. RR all the way. Glad I never bought streedeck.

You know. I noticed that variable in the config, but didn't even think about implementing it when I was doing all these recent changes.

I guess I'll come out with another update pretty soon then.

My server uses dynamic DNS, so sometimes the IPs don't update as quickly as they should. I'm headed home for lunch now anyway, so I'll have it fixed in about 20 min. Also, I'll try and get a mirror up and running.

The 2 links are working fine now. But I dont have any pictures at the album show. Do you know why?

Do you have album art .jpg files in the folders with your mp3s?

If you do, then no. I don't know why it isn't showing up. I haven't done anything different with SE than other people have done with their skins to show album art.

If you don't, then you need to download the album art for each album and have it in the folder with those audio files.

It is in all the skins. I'm sitting on a new PC and just DL the RR and the album art does not work. But it works fine on my other PC. What have I forgotten to install?

Make sure that you have the line coverfile=*.jpg in RR.ini. If it works in SE2.1 on one computer but not the other, then its most definitely a config issue not a problem in the skin.
