Yep the autolaunch feature also known as "MediaLaunch" has full functionality in v6.0. The only thing you need to do is specify what your drives are, kinda like editing a rr.ini file.

Here is my HD menu in action. When you click "HD" on the RR menu you can hear a relay in the HDtuner unit flip on. Its sweet, fast and clear.

That's awesome about medialaunch working. I won't even bother getting mine to work then. It's not important if functionality in v6 is there.

The hd skin looks great. What's the sub+ button do?

I can't believe I'm listening to the pens gam on my carpc in my room. It's totally awesome.

I'm going to be honest, I don't really like the databar in the new skin. I like the simplicity of just the main necessary buttons and think the bar looks just thrown up there - doesn't really flow, if you know what I mean?

-thinking about it, perhaps if the images were tweaked slightly so it didn't just look like two menus on top of each other. perhaps have the databar be translucent still but more solid in color, such as the color of the bottom of the top menu buttons and the buttons have the "button lines" undearneath seperating the buttons from the databar.

Anyway, I'm gonna shoot you the new wireless files now.
-sent

perhaps I don't know how to access it in this version, but filemanager.exe: How's that going to be incorporated in v6?

Thanks for the feedback pwntbypat,

The HD menu is still in the works, functionality is great and where I want it, but I am still learning and tweaking the labels for the HD data. The sub+ button is to cycle through the sub channels of a frequency. With an HD signal the station can multicast and usually the sub channels don't advertise. I'm also working on getting the "scan" button to function, Im not sure if it is a different command than previous tuners but as of now its still broken.

As far as the art goes, I've been realizing that when you keep the .png menu count down its very easy to generate new art in not a lot of time. Just need the layout of your buttons as a grid in photoshop. I actually did go back and forth with a few different designs on the infobar but this is just where it ended. For Now...

You know this skin is always a work in progress and I appreciate contributions such as your wifi menu. This is why the only way I do software is open source because individuals have the opportunity to expand and make it better for everyone.

I think Filemanager.exe may have had its last run in v5. It never did work on my embedded setup, and I never use it, I just use the "app" menu and explorer.

Ahh, I Love days off, was going to go snowboarding today but its freezing rain so I decided to do more on the skin and get it installed in the car. HD menu is for all practical purposes done. iList was the last addition I did to the preset menu and everything is working fantastic! We will see how the embedded OS likes the .NET and directx. .

Looking good. Although I don't have much of anything for my eventual build yet, I did buy one of those Visteon HD tuners off of ebay last night. For less than $60 shipped, how could I go wrong? So far, I'll have the tuner, a Griffin Powermate, and nothing more... I've got a spare old desktop PC that I'll be testing software and setup stuff on, to get a feel for things.

I know one thing for sure, I really like the RR front end combined with your Shock Skin. It is very nice.

I'm not sure (at this point) if I'll be doing a Xenarc screen with Mini or Pico-ITX MB or something like dissecting a Fujitsu P1610 lifebook for it's screen and motherboard. I've got some researching to do there.

The embedded integration went well.

Shock Skin Version 6.0 along with HD radio went live in the stang a few hours ago.

I am making my maiden voyage with 5 fresh new quarts of GTX in my engine block in the morning.

The docs for the new version are also done. I am going to road test this release for some miles to make sure its solid but shock v6.0 will be released in the next couple days.

I have not had much success with the blackjack either. I am running a beta version of WM6 on the BJ but I cannot get it to sync with phoco.
