The whole skin unpackaged is less than 5 mb, compressed to under 700kb. This proves that even if you don't have a strong machine, you can still have a good skin.
I already caught the skin preview thing, I just forgot to upload the new rar file, that will be later today...
Mute indicator coming soon, haven't quite figured the best way to do it when the mute button is a label instead of an image. (I use a seperate volume control on the laptop that these skins are developed on, so that's something that I've been neglecting.)

Your're probably over thinking it (or want to do something unique) but just ovelayed the mute button with an indicator definitions with code "MUTE:b" and it work fine.

I didn't like it when I tried it on my AvicZ2 skin, but I'll play with it a little tonight to check it out. I think it didn't blink enough for it to be noticeable, but it's such a simple thing to implement, that it'll make it into the 1.01 release.
@lostreception - thanks, the whole reason I started this one was I didn't think hAv1c had the visual appeal that I wanted. hAv1c is really more an experiment in trying to make a light skin that still does everything. It was made to show as much of the background as possible. This one builds on that and adds the better visual appeal.

I think the buttons need to be a little less transparent so that there is a little more contrast between the text and the background.

well, it's not hard to accomplish, since there's very few images to change. I'll play with the transparency a little bit later.

ok, here's some screen tests.
Original Release at 50% transparency:
Changed transparency to 66%:
Changed to 75%:
So which looks better?

Just a tad less transparent - 66% would be good IMO.

Ever thought about adding some progress bars? A slider would fit nicely in that space in between the track name and main window. Just a thought.

I know this has been a while since I've updated. I've been putting my CARPC project on hold and as such, my skin projects have been on hold as well. I bought a new car, and I will soon get back into installing the system in the new vehicle, so the skin projects will be picked up again.
I was thinking that a slider would be a good idea. I'm going to catch up to what I've been missing out with what is new with RR, and maybe implement a few ideas on this skin, and some improvements will be coming soon.
Anyone using this skin that has any suggestions on what should be improved?

OK, I was looking at this a little more, and there are a few things that will be fixed for the 1.02 release that will be coming soon:
- Transparency set at 66% (see previous post)
- Slider bar added to all appropriate screens
- In the Video Player skin, pressing next or prev will only fast forward or rewind, changing the label so that pressing it will next or prev (There's a slider that will allow fast forward and rewind now)
- OSK revised to match the look of this skin
- Mixer revised to match the look of this skin
- Weather Details revised to match the look of this skin
I have some time off coming up (easter) so I'll have a chance to update it, so I hope to have the new version by Sunday night.
Anything I'm missing that needs to be changed or added?

I posted a screen shot of the weather details skin. I did 4 day instead of 5 so it would fit, and here, most of the time the 5th day is way off from what actually happens.
I got all screens set to 66% transparency.
I got the slider on, but i'm not completely fond of the look of it though. (Look at the screen shot of the weather details) I'm trying to develop a graduated slider (it fills in as the song progresses.) but I can't decide on the look of the slider.
I revised the OSK, but there's a lot of lining up to do with the labels, and that's what is delaying the 1.02 release.
I really never use the mixer screen, so that may stay as it is.
As soon as I get everything lined up for the OSK, I'll post the new release.
