Digital FX2.0 Back button problem

When I am in a "Artist" sub menu with a list of albums, and then enter the album, upon hitting the back button it takes me all the way back to the original music screen offering "Artists" Genre etc...Any ideas??? Thanks

the back buttons

can be changed to what ever screen you want to go back to ,just open the skin file in notepad of where the skin back button is and change the line to bring up any screen you want to go back to.

the line will be somthing like this

"LOAD;Menu.skin","Menu"

this line is the audio_player back button if i want to go to lets say audio_browser i change it to:

"LOAD;audio_browser.skin","

ok

i'm a little confused on what screens you are trying to do.

name the screens you have problems with ie

audio_browser, audio_player

audio_browser shows you music content, select music hit play takes you to the audio_player skin,

get the idea, if knew exactly the screens you want to change the back button on and to.

in some cases

as some of the screens can be access from different places its not so easy to go back 1 skin, thats why you'll find most skins default back to main menu or audio player skin.

changeing the button codes is very easy.

download skin editor
go to settings /editor settings and change the path to your skin folder DigitalFX 2.0
DONE

goto file,open skin

direct to your skin folder ie DigitalFX 2.0

this will then load all the skins with white boxs everywhere.
at the top of skin editor you'll screens , this is a list of all the skin in that folder. scroll down to the 1's you want to change. select and you should see the skin appear.

now where the back button is bottom left, theres a white box around it. single click the box, it should turn yellow, now a the top of editor is virtual editor click that and you'll see the line in the code high lighted , this is the line that you change, only change the bit between "" .
once you have changed your line at the top save changes, now hit rrskin editor , now save to skin under file.

Well I was sucessful in navigation the editor and it is agreat tool. HOWEVER! I believe what I am looking for is not possible at this point. Basically I am looking for a "previouse" screen command. Since this is all within -Ie. Browser.skin , the "Back" command takes it to it's origination. I want to be able to clikd "artist" , select an artist" go into one album, but if I hit the back I want it to take me ony one back in this case, back to "the specific artist". When hitting the back button within the "browser", it always takes you back to the origin no matter what subfolder you might be in. I did not see a suitable command, if there is one you know of that would be great. Either way, thanka a lot, you have been very helpful!

Why would you want to go back to the artist who's songs you was looking at and for some reason decided to go "back"? The "back" command will take you back to ALL the artist within the genre so you can pick a different one (if i'm not mistaken)..

What I am talking about is your basic player/ portable media player interface here. You start with

ARTIST
GENRE
ALBUMS

Say I click "Artist" . It now has a full list of all my artists

Lets say I click into IE "Breaking Benjamin" , nad into the "album" Phobia".. Now I see a list of songs. Now I decided I don't want one from that paticular album and i wan't to go back to the Ablums" of that artist (Previous Screen). At this point no matter what when I hit the back button it takes me to the beggining showing the "
ARTIST
GENRE
ALBUMS

Funny though, watching the "you tube Demo" he put out, he hits the back button and it does exactly what I want it to!!? So I just don't get it!

I use the Digital FX.2.5 skin. I noticed at the top while a song plays under :Artist, it's actually the song name. And then the song name and Album: aren't even filled in while not in the browser...I don;t know......................

It should be GENRE>ARTIST>ALBUM

I'll but-out of this one 'cause i have only one big music folder with a bunch-a singles (and a few album folders) inside so i might be giving wrong information..
