The labels use for that should be native to rr. Check for the zip.dat in the rr folder. If you do have the zip.dat you might have to remove the ziplocator.dll if you have one. I do have both in mine and it works fine. I put a manual update button across the bottom of the screen,so try and hit the state or city and see if it updates.
Seach : "locate" command problem

I don't have a ziplocator.dll so that might be the problem. I'll go troubleshoot. Thanks.

Been playing with skin since v5 and I like the open center. Much improved with 6 and 6.1.1. Lots of little things missing, but what I miss most is the repeat/shuffle indicator. Some skins have it on every screen, some only in audio, but very few without.
Another thing I like is the music/nav screen. I liked it so much that I adapted the concept to the FM and XM screens.
The one area that really distressed me was external apps. I am probably one of few people that spend a considerable amount of time on that screen. First, some background - I have 34 external apps created. I spend most of my time though with winamp media library and winamp video loaded as external apps. I know I could create separate screens for either or both but my graphics skills leave much to be desired and I like having these available in several skins. I use winamp Library to load Internet radio stations from Shoutcast. And I use winamp video to watch my music videos. (I know its a kludge, but I find MPC irritating when I want to jump back and forth from videos to Nav and the audio mp3 starts playing, my waysince the video and audio are fron the same source, the audio just keeps going. I rarely use MPC anymore.)
The problem I run into more often than not with the latest crop of skins in development is the lack of "next app" or "close app" buttons. So I have taken the liberty and modified the v5 skin (I'll get around to 6 and 6.1.1 this weekend).
Moving the buttons around and adding new ones gives me a way to scroll thru the list,

the full center area is now available for embedding, with the buttons on the lower right I can get back to the list or close individual apps, and now I can use the lower music controls the same as any other screen which is extremely useful when watching music videos in winamp.
Lastly, I worked extremely long and hard to embed album art in most of my mp3s. And the Main menu just kept begging me to add art so I couldn't help myself.
This skin is definitely one I will be using quite a bit. I appreciate all the time and effort you put into it. Keep up the great work.

If you want to add a rudimentary indicator, the code is pretty simple; you wont get any blinking lights but you'll know in what mode you're in.

That works, but I also had to change the button command from "SHUFFLE" to "SHUFFLE/REPEAT" Now all is good in my world.

I haven't used this skin since version 3, I'm quite impressed with how far things have come since then.
I have a little issue with the 6.1.1 version. When I have my GPS set up properly with a port dedicated for RR, the skin locks up on startup. It's fine if I have the GPS com port set to 0 but obviously the compass and other indicators won't work in that case. I haven't played with it much, so it's probably something obvious.
