Problems with Transparent Skins

I am having problems with transparent skins. After I set RR to use the skins and run RR, the skins are empty with a grey background. Only when I move my mouse over the grey background do the icons appear and only a few of them at that (the clickable ones). The rest of the skin does not show up. What am I doing wrong with these skins.

Very good point

You are not doing anything wrong, it's just that the makers of the skins come up with different ways to change the background and there are settings that have to be right for it to work.

The rule of thumb is if the skin has a picviewer.skin and come with it's own background folder, then set picspath (in rrconfig) to point to the skins BG folder withing the skin.

I am having the same problems. I re-registered the dll and I think I set the picspath correctly. Still the same issue as the OP.

I was having the same problems. It was something to do with the screen fast mode. I changed that setting until I found one that worked.

I has another strange issue caused by direct acceleration. I turned direct draw acceleration off using dxdiag.

have a look in the skin.ini file inside the skinpath you want open.

here is written which was the last used backgroundskin, and wanted .jpg for a new open... and his adress.

the adress is also a information for setting the backgroundpath in your rr.ini file.
