who ever wants the script for the gps screen, i made it the way, that the text can be changed, and the 7 buttons can be set to execute any command. position and size are adjustable as well, all thru an ini file, also the iG shortcuts are now in a separate script with some more added. as i needed different shortcuts.

really nice....
a couple of things...
1. NUMBER OF STREAMS, really subtract 1, dont ask why its +1, but when it says 3, it means there are 2 HD streams avail.
also... when i click on a preset, it saves it, i cant figure out how to get it in recall
(me dummy with roadrunner)
this interface is SO CLEAN, you did a great job... im very UI fussy

Thanks again El Camino for your work on the CWiG script, I would probably still be working on it without your help

(me dummy with roadrunner) Just click the number and it will take you to your saved preset

This can be easily done with the PSD to suit your taste. Here is a pic of the audio browser.

Hot skin, looks nice in the Ford, easy to use, only problem is GPS, because it does not size to the window, you can't control anything else.
Question, can you add a media copy feature (in DFX 2.0). A nice feature, I use this to copy music from my jump drive to my music and videos to my Carpc. Just a suggestion.
My Fav feature is the HD Radio Perfect, easy to control, The Best

Very, very nice.
One bug though - Cwig.exe does not obey the xposition setting in the skin's general.ini. I'm running RR on my laptop's 2nd monitor output and I ended up with a floating collection of button on the main window.
I realize not a lot of people are using an auxiliary monitor for their CarPC, but it's kind of nice to do all the setup/config on a regular screen, with RR on the little screen.
Anyway, keep up the good work, this is by far the best-looking skin yet.

I like the first one because there is more real estate for the channel lineup and station info.
The second looks more like the FM radio screen.

I agree, first one because of more info display real estate.

I'll take a some photos here shortly (Maxima) and post them. It does look really nice in the interior. I've switched to this from DFX2.0. I like some of the features of DFX, but this skin is just so 'simple' and clean, as well as super fast that in my opinion there really was no choice
awsome job
:EDIT: dangit...maybe later today...can't find what my wife did with the flash card for the camera

This is really good news! Can you post up your newer script? The CWiG is a really nice menu feature that would also work on things like an embedded applications menu.
@Fixerofallthings - I decided I like the second one better because the station art is proportionate, you can tell its stretched in the first. I'm also wondering how desaturating the logos to B&W would look. Either way, thank you for tackling the XM!

blk02si, the number of streams is NOT a RR issue, its the value that the tuner actually supplies!!! and its +1 for some reason... maybe it counts the analog, dont know... anyway... subtract 1 from it, when you display it
also, when i click on a number, it stores the preset, everytime... i can never recall

Thanks for the info mitch, I will see if there is a way to -1 in the code label.
The way the presets work is click and hold to set, then just tap quick to recall.
But first try deleting the skin.ini file from the skin directory, I forgot to clear out the cache in that file from my system before zipping it up. Just delete it, when you set the new presest it will generate a new skin.ini and you will be in business!

blk02si, this got lost in the shuffle, I haven't figured out how to fix it yet.

Sorry I missed that Machinehead, I believe that is an issue with iList and hibernation, not a skin issue. I have read some other threads describing that same behavior. I can think of 2 fixes, one, remove the ilist code, or two don't hibernate. What version of RR are you running? I built Carwings on the 12-13-2007 release.

I'm using the 12-13-07 release. I can always add a skin reload line into my ExecTBL.ini.
Hibernate is such a PITA sometimes.

here we go, copy all to carwings folder, for the labels text follow the examples. is just like in a RR .skin file, just no quotes at all. i didnt add any error checking as this is not going to be adjusted every day. if wanted i can use a .skin file instead of the ini.
EDIT:for the popup that hides iG menus, you need to make one to match your skin, i included the one i been using in mine, so you can test, all works in a 800x600 for now.
