What are you using for an os? This might be way off, but my xp home would crash explorer anytime i chose a .avi file. It was something about windows trying to preview the file. I found a fix online for it but dont remember where. This sounds a little different though since these are only specific songs. Have you tried deleting them, and re-adding them to your music collection? Maybe there is some type of failure in the file itself?
