Does this have to do with .swf files? I've never used them before so I may be missing something.
All I end up with after the logo screen disappears is a thin (1/2 inch) vertical bar where I assume the menu should be.
Looking at debug.txt, it appears that everything continues and is waiting far a button depression.
Any comment.

Jim
Are you running the latest version of RR?

How about running the config. Me's think that is the GDI not being registered, which the config will do for you.

Gas Prices
Yep, MSN has changed their format to jpeg images for the gas prices. They are using ASPX to generate the images on the fly. The local page that is pulled onto DFX and parsed, breaks the link to the ASPX image. All of the images are given the name of price.jpg. The images can be saved locally when you are @ MSN, but unless someone can code a way to pull them while at the site and rename each of them we are S.O.L. on gas prices. Gotta love AD based revenue!

As for only playing on the front speakers, that is some sort of issue with the line on on your head unit, or some sort of audio configuration on your system. Sound comes out of all 4 speakers here just fine.
I've tried everything to get it to work on all 4 speakers. The Winamp plugin doesnt work either. MP3's work on all speakers, just not anything from the line-in. Anyone with a SB Audigy SE that can help?
The unit pics up stations, just not like my factory unit or my Alpine did. Yes, I'm still using the factory ant.

HmMmmm... I dont know if this is a DFX issue or RR issue. Sometimes on exit, it does not close Winamp (and winamp runs hidden). The next time RR is launched, it will not load winamp (I am thinking due to the conflicting "unclosed" winamp). You would have to end the winamp tasks then relaunch RR.
Is there a way to execute a batch file/script when RR exits/closes? Going to try to taskkill winamp.

Can you explain this? I used RRConfig to set the skin directory. What is GDI?

Blue ZX3,
Downloaded your RRConfig, ran it, made some simple changes, and saved.
AND DigitalFX works just fine up to the point that I am missing some bits that I will look into tomorrow.
Thank you.
Regards,
Jim
P.S. For the sake of knowledge, what dioes GDI refer to?

How are you running your speakers? Are you running separate outputs from your sound card to a four channel amp? You can always just try enabling CMSS on your Audigy and see if that works..

Speakers are being ran by the factory amp, which ran all the speakers before. Like I said, MP3's play fine in all speakers. Just the radio is being difficult. The CMSS is running, thats how I get the MP3's to play in all. It has to be with the line-in.

I found that only programs that use DirectSound for output play through all my speakers
windows itself doesn't use it that's why the sounds in windows like startup & shutdown etc.. only play in the front speakers
But games of course use it so all speakers work

A lot of that depends on how you have your sound set up. Quite a number of sound cards don't handle multi-channel audio well. One particular card had a noticeable delay between the front and back speakers with the 4-channel emulation it used.

Are you outputting stereo or surround? If your factory unit is taking in stereo then its just mirroring the front to the back, or doing its own type of surround processing. If you have to run CMSS to get your MP3's to play on the rears, then I assume you are outputting surround. This would help in figuring out your problem..

Good news. I found out the 'linein' program that comes with winamp doesnt work. I DLed the one from their website and I now have sound in ALL speakers!
Thanks for the help.
Now, one more 'problem' to solve and I'll be 110% happy with a CarPC.
