Also, if you use iGuidance, it lowers your line-in volume to 0 for some reason (I started a thread on that problem). So make sure that your line-in volume is correct.

When I change to another screen from say radio, to GPS, the status screen at the top still shows the last MP3 I was playing even though I'm on the radio, I would like it to show the current station along with the RBDS data instead, Is this possible?

BTW, HD radio works great and rocks!, as well as does this skin.

Unfortunately that is the way the plugin works. It only displays the information on the HD Radio skin.

You should be able to just click the song name in any of the skins, and then click lyrics at the bottom.

Hey all,

Having a strange issue. Searched the thread, but don't seem to be an answer for this. Basically, I get no MP3s in the music browser. Nor do I get any directories. Nor does the playlist window work (and it locks up if I use it). If I switch to the BMV2 skin, I have no problem picking music etc. If I then switch back to DFX3, it _has_ the playlist and it _will_ play music but if I go to the Audio Browser, the screen will be empty; and if I go to the Playlist Editor, the controls stop responding and I can't click anything anymore.

Anybody encountered this?

Probably a problem with iLists. Disable that and check if it works. If so, then make sure you isntalled DirectX and the latest drivers for your video card. I had the same problem (I hadn't installed DirectX).

CDMA Phone/Dial Up Network support?

I have been using a CDMA phone for my internet access. Any way or maybe in the next release to support the connection? ie. A connect and disconnect button/screen? Thanks a lot...

I'll take a look. Should have DX installed.... then again, I'm running TinyXP so who knows. Is iLists a separate plugin I should install btw? For some reason I thought that was part of everything, but if it's not, oh boy will that be silly

[EDIT] Just reinstalled DirectX and checked for updated drivers - no luck. Turning off iLists fixes everything, but I kind of like the idea (I don't know what they do, just suspecting).

Any ideas why iLists might be broken? I did a full install of Winamp 2.95 with RR.

[EDIT #2]: After having found this post, I turned off ID3 tags, and now things work fine. Looks like it was related.

[EDIT #3]: Very weird. Still, in some places, the skin stops responding to mouse control. I just went to Task Manager, and in the window that popped up, I couldn't click on anything, and I had to use Windows Key + Shutdown + Reboot to get something back. Anybody seen something like this happen? I'm a bit worried how the car will perform, seeing as I don't have a keyboard handy....

OK, sort of got this fiured out, I was able to cut and past and modify from the radio skin, but this all makes it real permamnent. Is there any way for it to use a variabe and know weather its an MP3 or the radio playing and use the proper display?

I don't have that poblem with my skin as it displays the the radio frequecy and the station name in the GPS screen when I play radio. If I switch to Audio and then to GPS it shows the trackname of the mp3 file playing.
Open up skin editor and select the External_Music_Gps.skin and change the top line from
"/ ||TAGARTIST||= - ||TAGTITLE||=" to
"TRACKNAME", then it displays the radio frequecy and station name while playing radio.

OK, got it working!. added the folowing lines in place of all the county, city zip code stuff. since I could not get it to display anyhow.

Now I get the radio station and RDBS data while in GPS mode. Now to go bac and fix the menu.skin file to do the same.

Thanks for the help. Now if I could just get the radio to come back on by itself.

Hi all ,Thanks for everything ,I have everything up and running great! But i have just 2 questions - (1) when I open Xport window it shows at the bottom like it's scanning but never stops,is this normal? My input line is #3 and my outputs are #5,6. and it shows that #5 is checked(dot) but not #6,why? is this normal also? - (2) i notice my red led light on my GPS usb unit keeps on blinking when i shut off or hibernate my carpc.is this normal? Thanks again.........

Just means your motherboard is still supplying it with power to operate. Depending on your power supply and shutdown controller, it should either turn off after a minute (or any other specified time period) or only shut down if it detects a low battery situation.
