Make sure that zips.dat is in your RR folder and that the line "localdatacaptureinterval=1" (no quotes) appears in rr.ini.

John - Enforcer:

1. Is there a DFX 3 skin for the Traffic Cam?

2. My city only has 7 Cams. They have more than that. Can more cams for my city be added manually? How? (I have a website if it helps)

Thanks!

Visten HD Radio troubles

Like everyone else, great work John.

Now my question: How do I get my HD radio to work in this skin? Is there something I have to register, run or sprinkle magic dust on?

I am running DFX 3, Visteon HDZ300 and have Mitch's cable.

I can get the radio working using Mitch's software outside of RR.

The radio skin pops up and looks like it works, but the frequency reads "0" and looks like it is stuck in AM. I can not change it to FM, direct tuning pops up, but does not change the channel.

I know I am just missing something, I just have no idea what it is.

This is the ONLY thing that is stopping me from having this working 100%.

Can somebody PLEASE help!!!!

Thanks in advance,
Fred

It should be there.

At this point I think it'll probably be easier to just rip cds on my laptop with wmp then transfer them over my wireless network to my carpc

Alright. I downloaded this skin on my desktop just to see it before i went out to the car to do it. I didnt really see the difference to begin with. It was cool, and nice features, but i really love dfx 2.5. I was hesitant to change it. I decided to give it a shot and im just blown away. You have to experience this skin in the car to appreciate it. This skin may be the greatest thing since the creation of the carputer. Johnwpb, thank you so much for your time, energy and efforts one what has to be one of the greatest skins of all time. Im not a rich man, it took me 2 years to unass 700 dollars for this project, but expect some cash from me soon, and some more later when i have the money to spend.

My first question is: Is there a way that i can hard-code the random feature on? I shut down my computer each time i turn the car off, so it doesnt remember it when i turn it back on.

Also, should the movie times plugin be pulling my location off my gps? Its not doing it right now, but i thought i saw somewhere that it should do this if you have gps lock. Yes, no?

For the random(shuffle) feature, just go into RoadRunner -> Settings -> Road Runner Configuration -> Music

Change "Default Shuffle Mode:" to "ON" or "LAST"

John,

The speedometer on the main clock screen is cool. Would it be possible to have a digital one with big numbers so it's easy to read while driving?

open dfx3.0 in skineditor, delete the flash movie box (where the logo's go), replace with a label add "GPSSPD" as the code. tweak font to your liking

Edit: if you want me to do this for you, send me a pm. I just need to figure out how to make it so the font changes color with the rest.

Edit: or instead of deleting the flash movie, you could resize it and make it smaller, so you would have both gauge and digi.

here's some SS, don't pay attention to the ugly colors, it's so I can tell the difference between my good skin & test skin, my taste isn't that bad

**EDIT**
PICTURES REMOVED DUE TO MY FEELINGS GETTING HURT.
or they are no longer needed and taking up space

I had this exact same problem when I got my HDZ300. Come to find out, I forgot to remove the Com port line in the skin.ini when I was using an XM tuner. Not sure if that is your problem, but is the exact same symptoms that I had.
