First, I appreciate your help fixing this feature.

Using the command as you show with $SKINPATH$ I get this error:

AutoIt Error

Line -1:
Error: Variable must be of type "Object".

If I run the wifi_man.exe script outside of RR I get the same error window. So my problem appears to be somewhere else. I did find the wifi_man.ini file that had a Linksys adapter listed, which I don't use. I change it to my adapter's name but no joy.

I'm open to suggestions but reinstalling isn't an option right now as I'm going on a road trip in a few days.

I assume he does and has just forgotten to include them, but that will be up to him.

The templates for the XM / Sirius favorites is in the DigitalFX 3.0/Helper Files/ folder. The icons are in Road Runner/XM. Just drag the icons onto the template in Photoshop or your favorite image folder. You will need to edit the XM Favorites skin to change the channel numbers to match your stations.

NOTE: The XM icons are in PNG format, and just renamed to .gif so RR will display them. If you attempt to load them into Photoshop, it will complain that the file can not be loaded, as it things it is a gif, and cant load it as such. Road Runner is smart enough to look at the header in the image file to determine what kind of image it actually is, believe it or not, Photoshop is not that smart

You do not need the wifi_man.ini in the new version.

Edit---
Here is the link and a quote from that page.

http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/rr-p...i-manager.html

[quote=Angelus;1139816]Hi EL CAMINO,

I can't seem to get this plug-in working, I've done the following

put wifi_man.exe and the wifi_man.ini in the roadrunner folder
changed the setting in wifi_man.ini to Wireless_G PCI Adaptor the name given by the device manager

added the following line to rr.ini
startcommand=RUN;$rrpath$wifi_man.exe

added the following line to execTBL
"WIRELESS","LOAD;wireless.skin||SETTOPMOST;RR;TRUE ||RUNQW;$SKINPATH$\wireless.exe;Wireless Network Connection||GETFOCUS"

and put the skin file in the road runner skin file

The skin will launch correctly but the wireless network connection doesn't appear either infront of road runner or behind.

Have I set something up incorrectly or can you give me any ideas??

thanks in advance,
Pete[/QUOTE

Are you using a stripped down version of XP like NLite or something, the solitaire skin embeds windows solitaire, which it sounds like you have stripped out. The other thing could be you do not have windows installed to c:\

2. I am glad u made a skin for RREarth. Something isn't right in it though. I got it running fine under DXF2, but in DXF3 it doesn't properly embed the window & turn on GPS. Not sure if I should be posting this item here or in the rrearth folder, but since I have issues with it running in this skin only, then I thought here...

3. In the album art browser, It shows all my mp3's, but with no album art. I am assuming this is because the art is embedded in the mp3 & it isn't reading it. Is it a simple change to get it to also read the art embedded in the mp3's on this feature?
Thanks!

1) I did not set that plugin to be used as default on purpose. Most people do not have the album art embedded in the MP3's. If this is the case, you will see the album art flash (showing the one in the folder) and then disappear as it trys to display the one in the MP3 file.

2) RREarth is not complete, I was messing with trying to get it working and never 100% completed it.

3) There is no way to display the cover art in the album art browser screen using embedded images in the mp3's. This holds true for the one in DFX, as well as the flash album art browser. Both require images to be in each folder.

Was there any luck with embedding My Bluetooth Places? I have looked around everywhere on the 2.5 thread and this one and hadn't been able to find anything. Thanks

I think I know what the problem is John. I didn't know solitaire was being loaded from the windows program. I had disabled or removed the game from windows because I was trying to save space on my hard drive. I'll try to reload it and see what happens.

Before anyone says it yes I have checked the settings in the config file.

Actually, it does work. I have it running in my car.

Not sure what's wrong with yours but all I did was:

1) Get newest .dll from mitch's thread (i'm assuming your using his cable). It has instructions to place those files into the RR HD Radio folder and includes a command file to execute to set things up

2) Include the "HDRadioport=x" line in your rr.ini Radio section... where x is the port for your radio.

Other than that, I used RRConfig to set the radio type to HD Radio. I believe this can also be done by hand in the Radio section of rr.ini by setting the radio type to 8

Totally Lost

Okay, so I have tried to research this stuff and figure it out on my own, but I'm am lost on a few things. First, thank you John, for such an awesome skin. I'm not only new to DigitalFX, but new to Roadrunner as well. Here are some things tripping me up.
1. How do I get the time to show up regular, and not military (i.e. 13.30 instead of 1:30)?
2. I cannot for the life of me get any of my music or videos to play. I can get my XM radio to play, but not my other files. I loaded Winamp, and ran Active Winamp. I can see my files, but I can't get them to play.
3. My XM radio is stuck in some sort of search mode. I try to pick a channel, but it keeps skipping through channels every few seconds. I don't know how to turn of this function.

Any help anyone can provide would be GREATLY appreciated.

#2 also sounds like RRconfig - need to define .mp3 as a music file. (Even tho' it should default)

Might as well go through every single page in RRconfig.

Thanks for the replys

I feel like an idiot not figuring out the clock one. I even tried playing with those settings. Just didn't use the "short time" one. I have added all of my file extensions into rrconfig. It still isn't letting me play my files. I've been through rrconfig about 10 times. I will try again real slowly to make sure there isn't anything I've missed! Thanks for the help!

*Edit*
I got my files working now. I'm sure what it was, but my music is playing now! All I need now is to figure out the annoying problem with my XM.

*Edit #2*
I had the clock working fine on my laptop, but when I tried getting it to work in my truck, none of the clock settings under rrconfig make it go to regular time.

Podcast for DFX 3

Is there a skin that will not only play podcasts, but download subscribed podcast automatically? Or a plug in?

I know I can play them through the music skin, but I was more interested in downloading my subscribed podcasts automatically.

Thanks

HD Radio issues

John,

I'm also having HD Radio problems. It is working fine with 2.5, after a little tweaking to get everything set correctly. It still works with Mitch's app also.

I just get a freeze up in RR when I hit the HD button. I did notice that I get a spawning of exec.exe in my task manager that keeps opening new exec.exe until I kill RoadRunner.

Any suggestions what is going on?

Thanks, Marc

The goggle map files are missing from the release installer. There should be a gmaps dir under scripts that has the needed files. So if your missing those that is why it dose not work. If someone who has a pre-release installed might be so kind as to zip up that dir and post it I would be great full

John,

Really really nice job on this version. I hope my tiny contribution during the beta test was of some help to you.

BTW, nice airport in WPB!!! I was there overnight Thurs-Fri, quick in and out biz trip in Ft Pierce. If I was there longer I would have looked you up and bought you lunch!!!

Next time for sure, cus they'll have me back sometime in the near future!
