This option seems like a viable fix, can anyone with font creation expertise create a font for us to try? I would give it a go but I have no skills I am just a lame end-user

Also does this mean the change only occurs in one place or are we still editing all the skins?

If I sound cranky, blame it on all the time in the last 2 days with little sleep trying to go through all the upcoming media features in the next release with john. Working out the remaining bugs and making sure that everything is as user friendly as the rest of the skin is of which John has already put huge effort into making it this way....

I noticed the lack of a pause 'symbol', but it doesnt bother me. Figure, like you said, if ya hear music, it playing, no music, paused....

I'm just glad this thing works and for all the effort all the people involved put in it. Now, all I need to do is make my double din carputer case and stick everything in it.

I am trying to put the "screen_lock.skin as the start skin, but when I set it with ONSKINSTART in the ExecTBL.ini from RR folder, nothing happens, and when I try it on the ExecTBL.ini from the DFX3 folder, it works fine, but when I replace the wallpaper of the skin, it minimize the RR...

Could someone help me to solve that?

It's one of those projects that really begs for someone else to take it and run with it since John has enough on his plate.

Nope, always says offline when using a wireless card - on two different computers.

Does it work though? The indicator doesn't really matter if your connection works.

Can you ping a website through that connection....the online detector uses ping to verify it's online. I ended up creating a different online detector that doesn't use ping as most of the places I use WIFI block ping. The latest version (not released yet) can be configured to work with DFX3.

Is this what is causing the windows warning box that keeps popping up and says "cannot connect to web" or something to that effect? I thought I had a virus on my laptop when this was happening (looks like one of those hacker wanabe's with a dialer program). I just built a new system to replace the laptop in my car, fresh install of windows, RR, DFX3 and immediately started to get the same pop up's on that machine! guess I can quit scanning the laptop for viruses and such!

If I can find the PC that has the font editor on it I will have a look at doing it.

And it should need (for the main part) only one file to change, but I haven't gone through all of johns .skin files to check, but knowing that the External plugins skins (like CDRip for example) do not support INC they will need to be changed manually.

Not usre how well the button will work under an indicator you may need to play with it.

Method 1 you will not have the colour change, Method 2 you will.

Couple Q's if i may: with the gif option, do you just drop the gif's in the skin forlder? and do they have to be called out in the 3rd line of the .skin file?

I have only read skincommands.txt and not actually tried method 1. (not tried method 2. either but I'm sure that will work)

But my understanding is, just drop those gif files into the skin directory.

If you don't like those popups (I can't stand them as they get in my way exactly as I'm trying to hit mute or something) you can disable them pretty easily if you don't mind changing a key in regedit.

Since I hate using the touchscreen OSK more than I have to, I just use a reg file that I open from my computer - you're welcome to use it if you like. Hit the windowsxptips link here and save/open the .reg files for systray and start menu. Feel free to open to check that I'm not doing anything bad either. Or if you don't trust that, just open the file with notepad and add the dword value at the path seen.

i am using DFX3 and
1. i dont have internet in car yet. so when i start RR the dail-up window pops as well with RR. how do i get rid of it

2. when i exit RR for some reason and click on RR.exe again then winamp wont start till abouta minute. winap does same thing when i open it w/o RR when i exit RR. how do i get rid of this problem.

3. whats the use of "SENSORS" in tbe RRconfig. and how can we set it up if its something useful.

4. i am using Tay Firefly RR6 for girder. and its not working at all. i got everythign setup with gider as ive been using girder with WMP11 and worked perfectly. but unable to use it with RR. any how to around. or any one can spoon feed it to me.. lol.. as when ever i search for it i find some one explaning the last prat or some one the middel part or may be 1st part. and this is really making me confused.
HELP ME PLEASE WITH GIRDER( most imp for me) as i cant look down to my screen everytime to change the song.

5. when i touch in the middle on the screen I.e. where there is a logo or clock RR exits. i dont want that as it is presse accidently while turnig the visualization on.
