Agree. iGuidance looks the best but it has made too many mistakes for me to use (and trust). I switched to using S&T 2008 with S&TKeys
Yeah, I hate having to use my wireless keyboard to do a few things on occasion that I can do via touchscreen on iGuidance but Streets and Trips gets me to where I want to go and I haven't had an issue yet.
Just my $0.02....

They all have pros and cons, streets is a good program, has a fair POI database and fairly accurate maps, it falls a little short in the turn by turn area but it's major downfall is that it is not really tailored to work on a small screen so it is a big hassle to actually use on a car pc. On a positive note, none of the other nav software I have lets me change an Itinerary print out maps, or view and print drive/time schedules import way points, view Long/Lat at the cursor ect.
Iguidance has a great POI database good address data base It's turn by turn is better than streets but it still makes me mad at times when it tells me to turn where there isn't a road or makes me miss a turn (its not perfect technology at any rate), and it works great on a car pc screen not to mention that there are features in this skin that help make it easier and more "pc screen" accessible.
My Way is really a handheld app. so the most resolution I can get is 640x480 (no problem I just made a skin to accommodate it) It's POI data base is better than streets but not as good as Iguidance and its address database is equal to Iguidance (if I cant find an address with one I can usually find it with the other) and the turn by turn in MyWay is superior to all the rest.
Bottom line is that I wish I had an application that took the best aspects of all these bundled up into one, but since I don't, I achieve a happy medium by relying mostly on Iguidance (tell it makes me mad).
Thanks for that info, yeah unfortunately there are always tons of programs that we wish we could compile all the good things into one and it never happens, looks like ill go with Iguidance and see how mad it makes me lol

I have IG 4.0 and DigtalFX 3.0 and I love these two put together! IG took me and my girl all the way to TX from IL and IG was right on the button ever turn! Not to mention that it looks super hot in DFX Skin props goes to John!!!
Only thing bad I can say about IG is, my girl loves starbucks and there is no where in the POI to search for a starbucks. So while we were on the road going to TX, she had to put in the zip code of the town we were passing at the time in google to locate a starbucks, then we grabbed the address and NAV to it! Little bit of a pain in the butt, but wasn't that big of a deal.
So yeah IG 4.0 RATE SCALE
1 being worse
10 being best
I give it a 9.5 and only because of the lack of finding starbucks and keeping the little lady happy you know? lol

You can also get a Free 14 day demo for iG 4.0. (It will cost you around $5 for shipping). If you decide you like it, you can purchase the license on line, and not have to pay another shipping charge, and you will be able to activate it immediately.

This is possible, but not that reliable. If I search for a "Target" store, I get a list, and the first one in the list is like 38 miles away, when there is ons just a little over a mile from my house. When you know the area, this isnt so bad, as you can recognise some of the streets, and nav to that one. In an unfamiliar area, it is hit and miss at best.
I explained this to iGuidance, and this was their reply:

Hi John:
Currently, you only have choice of either searching by name (in alphabetical order) or by distance (in order of closest distance). It's our goal to add a 3rd option to enable users to search by name + closest distance combined. However, it didn't get on our project schedule for this year's map upgrade, and we hope to have that for next year's release.
We apologize for the inconvenience.

MGD,
Could you please screen shot all the steps to get to where it shows search for poi. Because i have tried both my girl and I have tried to search for things but it only gives you by name or by distance. Not sure how you got the starbucks to come up?
Thanks dude!

Hi... first off... GREAT JOB JOHN! Love it!
I installed the iGuidance 4 UMPC patch but it seems that the menu still looks like the original iGuidance skin. Am I missing something here?? Isnt it supposed to look like DFX? Thanks!

No, one thing that the patch does change is that it re-adds the ability to navigate to a destination by using coords(which is needed for the nav to chosen gas station feaure), which iG took out on the last two versions, any other changes I'm not sure of...

Yea, graphically there are no changes this time. It is just altered to allow traversing the menu's with scripts, and to re-add the coordinates that iNav removed a couple versions ago.
It would be hard to skin it this time to match DFX, as the skin can be any color now.

iGuidance Question
I have noticed that right before you come to your next turn, and the screen zooms in, it will say "iguidance". It is really annoying to hear your music, "turn left onto 159", and "iguiance" all at the same time. The only time this seems to happen is when it is doing the automatic zoom in right before a turn. Any ideas ???
