i have the port listed now in rr.iri. also i went to device manager an it states that i have 2 in use ports #2 and #3 . i tried both i rr.ini and still nothing .also i notice that outside rr & dfx3 you can hear the visteon hd tuner click on and off ,but not in rr & dfx3. why?

the clicking is from the serial ports RTS/DTS lines changing state, this is normal.

it still sounds like you do not have the correct setting for hdradioport

will the standalone HD radio app tell you what serial port its using?

The HD Radio new DLL's go in C:\Program Files\Road Runner\HDRadio to work with RR and DFX. You need to unregister the old DLL before overwriting and registering the new DLL.
Then check at the very bottom of rr.ini for the hdradioport=x setting. Mine had one there already and I had added it again with another port, so I had 2 and it wouldn't work till I got rid of the extra one.

I am not sure it is a skin related problem, as I am using HDRadio here, as well as many other users from what I have seen.

If the radio is turning on and off (Clicking twice), that sounds like a problem there, as when initialized, it should just turn on, when software is closed, you will then hear it turn back off.

Check your rr.ini for other devices using the same com port, such as Sirius, XM, or other radio devices you may have set up in the past.

FWeather Problem:: I have been using RR and Digital FX 2 and 3 for months now. I have always been able to use the weather flawlessly. Today when I went to use it after doing absolutley no changes to the system in 1 month, the weather is not working. When the weather screen comes up the SAT and RADAR maps load and are current, however the general weather for the selected location is blank. Where the Time/Date/ location would be at the top there is just 2 dashes appearing in this manor: - -

I have a good internet connection and everyhting else works, Traffic/Net Radio/Jukebox etc... I checked the RR.INI and the config. Nothing has changed.. I also visited weather.com outside of the skin to see if maybe it was a problem on their end and all was well. Any ideas? Thanks.

I see way back in the threads there is a similar problem, however no real resolution or reason given. I have read all the helps and am familiar with the settings....

Hi JohnWPB,i have HDRadio working inside of dfx 3.0 now . so i did put the hdradioport=2 in rr.ini directly in that folder ,but would always vanish after restarting pc . so i added it to rr config. in ini.extras and put the hd pcr program in RR . Now it works i guess with some bugs like play/stop button don't do anything,the mute button also won't mute,the band button won't switch from fm/am either. and also to stop radio from playing you have to switch to audio player or video player screens which shuts off visteon hd unit.is this suppose to work like this?

other than these bugs it does sound way better then that D-link usb radio piece crap. also could my install of hd pcr program be installed wrong? i installed it in Program Files, or is hd pcr suppose to be installed somewhere else?? if yes where and how? Can i have all (A-B)steps on how everyone else is installing this and making it work right? And one more thing not related to hdradio- My indicators don't show up at the top anymore for some reason and netcheck is not showing up in Task Manager either.i notice that this use to stay active all the time after closing RR.(Is This Normal Not Closing On Exit Of Road Runner ??). i appreciate your help in this. the best skin i seen i a while,IT ROCKS!!!! can't wait for DFX 4.0 ! Glad you got it working. Yea, the play button really does nothing on that screen. The mute will work if you have mute mapped to master volume, as that will mute all audio from the pc. Yes, it is supposed to work that way, this way can leave and go to the weather, GPS or whatever and the radio will continue to play. It would actually suck if you had to stay on the radio screen to listen to the radio

hey . I'm sorry if this has been answered before , I tried to read the pages but there are 73 of them and I can't find any reference to it.

I downloaded the latest version of RR installed digital fx 3.0 on top of it like I used to have the digital fix 2.0. My problem is that the letters seems not to be adjusting to stay inside the buttons and the audio controls on main page ( play , ff , rw , etc...) are not properly centered in the buttons. Is there an easy fix to that , or I have to manualy change the cordinates for the controls and change the size of the fonts or something like that ?

Hey Guys,

here is what I want to do, I want to click on the internet radio icon and have one or more buttons that are preset to my hometown radio stations.

Here is what I have tried, I open internet radio folder, right click open note pad, and type this:

#EXTM3U
http://www.wilv.com/live/index.php

Then I save it like this:

LiteFM.m3u

Then I close it and it now looks like all the other icons in winamp format. However when i go to click on it to play in winamp, I get this error:

[error syncing to mpeg]http//www.wilv.com/live/index.php

I know I must be missing something pretty small, I think it has to do with a different kind of format from the website it is streaming from.
