I wondered if you had gave up on this. Still looks good. Is the RR logo hard coded?

I like the direction this skin is going in.

I found that if you plan to make the skin transparent, it's best to do it before you get too far in creating the image files. If you have the PSD's for your skin so far, I can help make it transparent, send me a PM about it.

It's your skin, so it's really up to you, I think it would be good to release it as a transparent skin so those of us who want to change the background can.
Like I said, I can help with that part of it. If you send me the Photoshop files, I can mod them and send them back. (I actually already started with the audio browser screen, just to see what it would look like.)

Otherwise, I do have a few suggestions for you;

Font is a little bland and doesn't really match the theme. I suggest some kind of LCD or digital font.

The OSK has square keys, but is the only thing with sharp corners. Round them out to match the radius of the rest of the skin. Also, there's a lot of wasted space IMO, so maybe moving the "Shift" and "Enter" keys to next to the space bar, and moving the "ESC" and "Back" keys to the number row, this would allow you to have the keys fill more space (in turn making them easier to target on a bumpy road) and lastly, the bar that shows what you've typed is kinda big, here's what I would do with the layout (I only have MSPaint here at work, so it's rough: )

And lastly, a common audio control bar at the bottom would help make it easier to use.
(You don't want to have to exit the GPS screen just to change to the next song would you?)

These are just some ideas though. Otherwise, this is a great looking skin.

Instead of wasting up all these PM's, I'll post the answer here:

also i will send you copy's of the psd when i finish a few more menus and you can make them transparent if you want. i was mainly just going to do 5 or 6 different colors of the same skin. but being able to change backgrounds or have alternating backgrounds would be cool too

Then set a button with the "VISU" command to turn it on and off.

Here's my hAv1c skin with the VISU embedded in the center:

This is sort of what you are trying to accomplish right?

I can also help you implement a font color changer so that you can have the right color according to your background.

When you get the files together, send them to me at:

email address...

Thanks.

The VISU is something that is defaulted to be off when RR starts, but you can set a command to load it when RR loads. Send me your skin folder as well when you send the photoshop files, and I can show you how to do this. To set it transparent, you would change this in RRConfig to about 100 or so.

I would suggest putting the menu bar on the GPS screen at the bottom, and placing the "exit/cancel/home" button in the bottom left corner, the same place as in all of the other screens. That way it will be the same in all of the screens. I hate having to search around for that button

Other than that looks good!

that OSK looks a lot better. Looks like something that would be easy to use.
