ok.. update of sorts...

No beta today... but in a way thats a good thing because in the time i coulda been making a settings screen i've

-Changed iguidance screens. Destination entry screen stays the same, once destination is entered and your routing you will then be taken to a full screen iG screen with nothing but bottom media controls. When the song changes the top bar will pop up for 10 seconds (may make it a variable), then disappear. Best of both worlds( i hope!)

-Added search options. This is OBVIOUSLY in anticipation of blue's media plugin, but in the mean time each of my search options work via active winamp and the smart playlist plugin. Here are your search options:

instead of fixed numbers for newest "date" and frequency you can now enter variables into osk.. so you define the search criteria completely.

-Added disk changer sprite (no pics because it doesnt currently work)
-Finished RREarth screens. RR earth will act sorta like the iguidance screens do.. first there's the entry screen:

press the directions button and a pop-up will allow you to enter your TO and FROM locations:

Then press go! and full screen appears for guidance:

-working to make RRfusion screen an elemental design scheme. Essentially you will be able to control which buttons/labels appear and where they appear within the screen. I'm hoping doing this will allow RRFusion's screens to be more widely used. For example if you dont want the raw data seen just drag it out of the screen area, it will disappear. If you'd like to add a picture of a car in PNG format and move the buttons in areas near the appropriate function you can simply add the png to the .ini... then move it and the buttons where u want them displayed.

Hopefully all this is good enough reason to hold off on that beta til next week. I KNOW it'll be out then because i want it in play before i head off to the beach

The way I figure, the more polish you can put on the beta, the less you'll hear about how long it'll be until you fix all the problems.

Uh...I'm all for the above thinking! That greatly explains Y I have not released my media plugin yet. Hopefully because of the time frame(long) that there are only little things if any pop up.

Of course that also has the effect of having lots of people whining for a release.

added weather screens to post 2...

weather is broken down into sprites all available on one main weather.skin. First sprite gives you todays weather. The transparent background changes based on the weather text label (sunny in myrtle beach = sunny background). Next there's ur standard 5 day forecast and lastly and most importantly there is the interactive maps screen. Thanks to the lovely people at weather.com and microsoft i was able to pull there virtual earth map and embed it into my skin. It currently allows panning by dragging the same way the site does and allows the weather details to animate. I'm having a HARD time getting the zoom to work however and various little other tidbits... however the map will be centered on your current LAT and LON giving you the weather that matters to you most. You can also use the ROAD/SAT buttons for different views. Also i will overlay some map options so instead of precipitation u can see temps, clouds and all the other overlays on weather.com. There is also a TRAFFIC overlay but i cant figure out how to send that message to the .swf from within my skin. If someone here is highly proficient in real-time flash communication by all means pm me. Thats it for now.

Subscribing. Yet another skin to wait for. Is it just me or is this, Elite, and Omega WAY better looking than every other skin that has ever been made? I'd say LSX fits in the good looks class, but I just don't like/understand how it works. I'm hoping at least one of these 3 will match my interface navigation habits.

In any case, I'm not going to even install my CarPC in my new car until I have a good dual-screen skin working for it. I know I will have to make that skin myself, but I'm not good at making graphics so I'm waiting for a release of one of these 3 new skins to start modding into a dual-screen form. I wish one of you 3 would release a beta so I can start working on it. I want my CarPC back!

(sorry, I know that sounded bad. I don't mean to beg/complain, just excited about these new great looking skins that blow away everything else out there)

ok guys.. i'm sorry but yes .. another delay

but DAMN is it ever worth it!

I'm delaying the beta now until RRMedia Plugin hits the masses, it TOTALLY blows away the standard audio browser interface and i've got most of its features working into the skin. I've only still yet to add the Disc Changer, Virtual Playlist, and DB Builder to work on.

Here's a video of RRMedia in Sonique Elite. Excuse the choppiness as always. I'm getting MOST of the features for RRMedia, Audio playlist and all that on ONE screen and its working great so far.
