Okay so ive read all your rambling posts. I see the skineditor is now working for you.

First i would download someone elses skin and look at how it is laid out. I would probably start by using there skin and modify it to your own prefrences.

Maybe you should start by telling everyone what exactly you are trying to do.

Like you are building an electric car? You are puting a carputer in it? You want some user interface for ....?

The basic skins out there for RoadRunner include, music, video, internet, gps, OBDI/II.

There are some GPS based speed measurements, if thats what you need.

You probably need a sensor to be able to measure RPM's from the electric motor. And a voltage meter for the battery.

You are really going to run into less battery power with the carputer running, So the lowest power consuming pc is probably what you want. Which may limit dvd playback.

I have a co-worker that converted his car to electric. He has voltage checks on each battery. not to mention batteries every where. in the engine compartment and in the trunk. He says he gets about 30-60 miles on full a charge but thinks he can get more with better batteries. He has a manual clutch so he can change gears. and i think he said he could get 60mph but im not sure. i saw it last year.

So back to your button problem. What do you want the button to do? Go to another menu?

Getting From one page to the another.

Yes I want to get from the main menu skin to the EV Gauges page I'm building. I'm building a Bradley GT 2 and would like to use this application in the car to monitor the gauges. I was able to get the editor working yes.

Let me know what I'm doing wrong. Please and thanks

Um make a button. For the command type "LOAD;YourSkinFile.skin" where yourskinfile is whatever you call it. example bradleygt2.skin

If you hold down the shift key and use the mouse to make a box on the screen. then you can click ADD. That will bring up type of objects to add. Pick button. Then a properties box will come up. It should autofill in the x,y,w,h and all you need is to put the command in for that button. on the [...] next to command in the editor you will see a list of commands available and notes on how to use them.

Maybe you should read the skin editor tutorials under RRSKINS in the forum:
Here
http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/rr-s...-download.html
AND
http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/rr-s...-tutorial.html

That should get you a little closer to what you want. Once you have read them maybe you will have more technical questions and less simple questions. There is a ton of imformation on this website. it would be a waste to have 100 threads asking the same questions over and over. That may seem rude, but it is the truth. Please do some before your next question. it may already be answered here.
