good idea...to be totally honest...it looks like about 70% of the screen will be used for buttons....with a pretty small hourglass sliver in the middle for information...is it possible to maybe slim down the buttons on the side?
Sometimes I wonder what you guys are doing while driving. The least amount of buttons to push, big displays to read WHILE DRIVING. This is not for Home Entertainment.
Sorry, just my 2 cents.
I know, they not worth that much anymore.

If I did that the font size for the buttons starts to get a little small. Also Bigger buttons was my aim. I dont really need a whole lot of Ino on the main menu.
If needed, I can allways add a screen with a ton of info.

Sometimes I really wonder why you would have a computer in your car if all you want to do is navigate and play music.
Get a tom tom and a head unit with an mp3 player built in and you would be satisfied.
I like a lot of features. Not that they all get used all the time, but they are nice to have when wanted.
My Chrysler came with all the bell and whistles you can think of. But there were just some things missing, that's why I repalced it with CarPC.
Mp3 Player, HD Radio, Navigation, Weather, Tire pressure, Parking Sensors, Backup cam, Drive Cam with recording and OBDII. That's why, and I can care less if can browse my media in 100 different ways. While I am driving, I hardly touch the screen. Can't be done with TomTom and a head unit. So, what's the rest for? Sitting in the parking lot and play with it?
:WHS: True... all the toys are cool in the beginning... After a few days, you get bored and don't bother looking at the screen while driving.. But funny thing is u get excited over new toys everytime.. I use two screens 99% of my time while driving... music, gps.. oh.. music vidio is also cool.. I shouldn't looking at it but can't help...
mgd, what do you use "Drive Cam with recording" for?
oh, tc by enforcer is another great plugin and very useful..

I am recording my drive (Front Camera) for the the last 30 min, then it erases it and starts over. Good to have if **** hits the fan and people don't know you have it.

I agree, all these cool features are there, but I only use the menu.skin and the external GPS. Occasionally I'll browse on over to the audio_browser (the old school, pre-RRMedia way) and select the albums I want to hear. I got the CarPC for nav, and music, and the customization of it all (And eventual OBD support.) Being able to change the background or font color or type notes into notepad, are all there for a reason, but not to be really used while driving. Having a link to notepad and those other non-important features seems like a waste of space to me.
The font has got to go, comic sans just doesn't look right. These buttons look to be about 300 pixels wide each, and that to me is more wasted space. Also, the "blades" are a different pixel depth than the rest of the skin, and don't look that great.
I like the idea itself, but it just needs a little tweaking (just like any other skin) and is way better than the Concept skin you were working on.

I like it Thunderstick. Nice button layout, looks easy to use, and I just like the feel to it. Almost reminds me of a mirror imaged carwings. Not to sure about the pattern on the rounded bars, and I really don't like the light blue color, but the layout itself is very attractive. I'd say keep up the fresh work!
