I assume no news is good news but I find it hard to believe that I caught every bug before I released it...
I wish it had XM. I guess I will change the sirius over.

the MENU button just always takes you back to the Main Menu of the skin...
I figured out the volume dealie this morning. I think the push points are a little small. Although I use a rotary controller most of the time.
The Sat and Ter indicators aren't working for Sirius. And same issue that John's having with the full screen.
There also seems to be about 4 playlist screens for sirius and it's a little confusing.

Here are the fixes for the GPS Full screen issue as well as the GPS button not working in the Audio Playlists chooser skins.
The ExecTBL.ini file has also been updated....
As of right now, I am working on fixing the Satellite and Terrestrial Signal Strength Indicators as well as implementing XM into the skin.

Good deal. I've been using the skin all week. Keep up the good work.
I've noticed that if you go to the sirius screen and then switch back to the main menu that the channel art is stretched. It will fix it self if you push one of the pre-set buttons on the bottom.
Also, how do you change the Sirius pre-sets? (preferably without editing the skin files.)

Nice skin. Very OEM looking.
Two suggestions...HD radio and an option to choose between standard and database, like John did with his skin.

I fixed the problem with the stretching album art. It wasnt really a true fix...it was just pointed at the wrong skin file....nice catch....and thanks for the compliments.
The zip file below is an update. Each update will include the files from the previous update, so you wont have to worry if you missed a patch or not. I will continue to do this until I release version 1.1.
New Fixes 8-21-08.zip
To change any of the presets, just hold down on the top 1/3 of the button. This will bring up the preset selection screen which you can choose the preset you want. The yellow areas in the screenshots below are where you want to hold down. I know, its a small area, but RR is limited on how it can be used. If I made the entire area "holdable" the images disappear.

Thanks for the comments...I'll put HD Radio into my To Do list for the skin. I do not have HD radio so I'll do what I can to make it work...As far as the option between using the DB or the normal mode...I may do this since I already have the old browser screen done but I'm not sure if I will or not....RR Media is a great thing...and probably one of the best things to come to RR since its release...I'm really trying to promote the use of it...I'll see what I can do...

Thanks, I was holding down on the wrong spot like a dope. It doesn't help that I have fat fingers.

Just tried it out for a bit but I gotta say, I'm a bit underwhelmed.
The Negatives:
No effects on any mouse over or button push, sat. art on home screen?, no FM or XM radio support, no skin switch menu, large footprint for included options, throws "subscript out of range" error box after nice GM splash screen then promptly crashes taskbar. Only way I can test is to load a different skin then switch to GMLAN after RR is up. I could dig around and fix it but the skin seems to be focused around sirius radio which I don't use so I'm not going to bother.
The Positives:
You nailed the GM interface look. I would have preferred to see the skin mimic only the GMLAN GUI, leaving out the faux buttons on the sides that are supposed to look like the real hard buttons, but you did a great job with the art and cloning the look. Appears to be an awesome skin if you do use sirius, probably the best I've seen in that aspect, although if you really wanted to tighten the GM integration, you would have done XM as that is what GM uses for OEM provider.
I did read your readme and at the end it states:
Feedback, positive and negative, is always welcome!
So I'm just giving my honest opinion, not that it really matters if the skin works for you

Thank you for the comments!
You make some very valid points...I will try and explain some things...
First and foremost...I made this skin for myself and tried to have it so that others could use it as well. I figured I would get the base skin done (the things I actually use) and then add on other items as requested or as I had time...
the reason for no DOWN or ON images is simply because I use a touchscreen and to be totally honest, the down and on images are seen for about 1/10th of a second....I do agree it would be prettier with the down or on images if you are using a mouse....I really don't see a use for them otherwise...
Satellite art on the home screen...well by default album art is on the home screen UNTIL a satellite preset button or SIRIUS button is pressed. When either of those are pressed the screen changes to a Sirius version of the same menu.skin screen but its aimed at sirius....
XM and FM...sorry I dont use either of these...I will add support for them down the road...
Sorry for the skin switcher...I'll add that as well...I have never really needed to switch my skin on the fly so I never used that option...I always just used RR config...
I'm not really sure why its crashing your RR....every pc I tried it on, it worked...which version of RR are you using?
And thanks for the positive comments as well!!
This is my first skin so I'm by no means a pro at making them...I'm taking all of the constructive criticism you guys can dish out and putting the ideas to good use for future releases of this skin and any other skin I may make...

We going to follow every skin that incorporates my plugin and make said point?? I just am completely dumb founded by anyone that would choose not to use it. It's like taking a 8 track player over a CD/Mp3 player....

Then just send me the old browser screen and I'll use it personally.

Then maybe I'm using it wrong, because it doesnt seem practical. Why would I want to make a playlist of a CD if I just want to listen to one CD....the whole CD? Now, if I wanted to listen to different songs, yes. But a CD? Please enlighten me.

Any and all media players, hardware or software creates a list of what you choose to listen to, weather its one song or a billion songs and that list is called the.."Playlist" The virt CDs are really just saved playlists that have builtin features. There is no need to create a PL from a CD to play it, and for people that have previous saved playlists, can put any of those playlist(s) on a disk, which is where I think you got mis-enlightened.

Ok, got ya. I messed around with it a little and I'm enlightened. Thanks.
