Ive gotten the plugin working but it took some patience as it was'nt all cut out like a cookie ready to go. I recommend deleting the plugin and redownload and tell me the steps you do then i can double check for ya. this plugin is very useful and worth the time.

this may sound basic but did you replace "elcomenu.exe" with newer one? This plugin seriously takes nothing to run. Im running a single core processor never hiccups.

Allright, I uninstalled iGuidance 4.0 to give Garmin Mobile PC a shot. So far, after giving it a go, I decided to stick with iGuidance. This is with reservations, as I like Garmin's online real time info.

My main caveat is that I could not get the Garmin software to act like iGuidance native. Is there a way to get the Garmin software to pop up the navigation skin when it speaks directions or I have to pay attention to something? Or did I miss something?

I'm having some trobles w/ Overlay:
When I first load Garmin and open OSK type some text and then press back button for the first time, i'm getting blue windows application farme around garmin (the one with close and minimize button)... so I have to click minimize button and then untill rebuut all works fine.

Any ideas how to fix that?

I just loaded gmpc ver 5.00.60g. is there a version of the overlay skin that works with my gmpc?

oh yes I wrote one of my own skins for CF that works better... i think... its called Garmin Rebellium Skin you can serch CF site forum under plugins

jgaylor, the OSK you can find here works fine, just follow instructions and you will get it working... if you have downloaded latest version of Ride Runner, it commes wit Carwings skin that alredy has GMPC plugin build in. You only have to check the Que.exe file location and assign garmin button and you are ready to go

I had this working on previous system that had XP on it, I am now using Vista.. not sure if that makes a difference. Everything loads correctly but when I push any of the Garmins buttons the Elco's menu disappears behind the open Garmin window? If I Alt tab it pops back up as normal overlayed on top but it once again disappears if I push a button. Im using the Elco's menu 1.3version. Any idea's? I used DFX4, was setup through the buttonmaker. I seen somewhere it would'nt work that way, but I always had it setup through that on the XP system..

If it works fine i will do the custom version for RR too.

To install add the button that will run my app... it will automatically launch the GMPC for you

well I triple checked everything..I have installed this 3 times on a XP machine no problems. So I presume that this is a Vista deal..I even ran it in compat mode just in case no luck) anyone out there whom is running this overlay on Vista without hiccup's? heres my setup

Vista Ultimate All updates
elcosmenu 1.3
Riderunner March update fresh install
Dfx 4
800x600 resolution

I first had vista on my machine with this problem. Switched to an N'Lite'd version of xp and problems went away.

Was told by RR experts that RR is not meant for Vista yet.

Roadrunner works fine on mine as well, infact seems faster this is the only problem i seen so far. I'm hoping it's a easy fix otherwise back to XP.. gottas have my garmin overlay...lol
