I uploaded a new version of this today that adds the fix that Bimmerstyle posted.

Is that as easy as resizing the PNGs to 1024x600, and editing the .skin files?

Question

I just purchased the BU-353 Weather-proof GPS Receiver. I'm wanting to use this Garmin RR overlay. All I have is the BU-353 GPS Receiver. What other software do I need to be able to use this overlay?

Do I need the Garmin PC software....?
I'm sorry for asking what might be to you all as a stupid question but I'm learning. Be bare with me.

I have downloaded the Overlay files and will get that part integrated into my skins.

Hope you will provide me with the answer... Thanks

Troy

Not really, the buttons will not line up, so to do this, I'll have to create a skin at that resolution, resize the .pngs, and move each and every button to the right position. I'll hope to get more resolutions by tomorrow.

yeah, that's what I meant... you can use skin editor to move and resize the buttons. It shouldn't take too long to do for anyone that needs a different resolution.

One thing to remember is that the size in # of pixels doesn't change with in GMPC (the bottom and top bars) so the volume buttons and the top buttons won't line up correctly either.

Any other requests for resolutions?

I updated the blog a few days ago, just didn't post it here. this is great guys. It is about time we all had a USABLE nav solution for ~50USD$. The garmin without OSK and Media integration had very little value over a standard PND.

EL CAMINO is on a distinguished road
PHP Code:
ElcosMenu.exe is hungry for memory No fix at this time

latest overlay release takes care of this.
