Got it figured out. The invalid procedure call I was getting is related to not opening the skins from the skins path that was set in the Skin Editor proggy. Once I created c:\program files\Road Runner\skins, moved my skins to that folder, then opened, they open fine.

Hi guys, im trying to put together a light weight skin and am getting to know the RR skin editor quite well, I do however have a couple of questions.
Am i able to remove the measurements from certain object values? example, when showing a songs' Kbps, it displays 320 Kbps, i want to remove the "Kbps" from this, and add that in as a label or graphic (so it can be a different color from the value itself). or is it possible to set it as two different colors?
the same with volume percentage, i want to remove the "%" symbol as it does not look quite right with my design.
also, is there any information regarding setting up ilists/browser lists? i think i saw one somwhere but lost track of it..
All the best for now

Check this thread out:

Did you look in skincommands.txt for help with iLists? Also, most skins now use them, so copying tags might help understand them a little.

This skin editor is awesome.
A few questions though. Is it possible for INC objects to show up? My whole top bar is an INC but it's just blank. It would be nice if there was a way to save a skin as an INC file also to cut down on copy/paste when building templates.
Also images won't display in the skin editor but show up fine in RR.
Thanks

The Save As Inc shouldn't be too hard to do. Adding the Inc to be displayed as well and being able to save w/o issues would be a dash more harder.
I can see about quickly adding the first part. Latter today maybe....

Copy your ocx file into the windows\system32 folder then right click the reg.bat file and use "run as administrator"
should work fine then. did for me

I'm getting a File Not Found error, when i try and make a new skin, and choose a saved filed location. A window pops up saying "There is no general.ini" file in this folder, would you like to copy the default.
I click yes and i get "Run time error 53" File not found.
I've tried saving the general.ini from RR to the same folder where im trying to save a new skin, but no luck.

The default general.ini file that it is looking for should be your skin editor folder if not then try copying one from another skin's folder the same folder that you have your skin editor exe.

Would it be possible to add snap to grid or rulers or something like that? It's nearly impossible to line up multiple elements without switching to the test editor.
I tried zooming but zoom doesn't work on my PC. The image doesn't match whats being clicked.

You can always use the arrow keys to move and adjust boxes for alignment. I think a multiple selection and alignment tool would be nice. Like align to top, left, right, bottom or middle. Or make same size.

Try this version 0.72, it includes a "Save Current as INC" in the file menu.
[Edit]
File removed, due to additions to this version. see few posts below for newer 0.72 update
