RR OBD main menu indicator

Morning,

Is it possible to identify that you have OBD connectivity with an indicator in RR. I have the www displayed using "ONLINE" but wondered whether you could identify that a USB port is active?

I'm using DashCommand and I don't think it is any facility to Sendkey to RR but wanted to have an icon on the main menu to show it's availibilty, even if it means using Xport to run a script to identify port active or similar (a little beyond my ability ). Any suggestions to whether this would be possible and worth me having a go? Or would it be too much pain for too little gain!

Thanks,
Dave

Do you mean use xport to split the OBD USB port to run DashCommand as the OBD application and OBDMPG for OBD indication?

A valid suggestion but I think this may be too much pain for too little gain. The OBD indication is not that important - just the 'icing on the cake' really. My M10000 struggles to refresh DashCommand as it is. I must invest in an Atom 2 soon............

It was just a thought . Any other suggestions would be most welcome but I think I'll let this one go for now!

Dave

You can right an Autoit script that checks every 5 or 10 min to see if the application is running in the background and sets an indicator in your menu.skin file.

I'll investigate into this.

Thanks,
Dave

I didn't think to check whether an app was running. I guess this script would be the answer.

Many thanks,
