Damn, that does look good. But those two navigation icons have got to blend with the rest. Do you plan on using those icons from Carputer? if so, i will post a clean menu png without the navigation icons so you can make them uniform.

glad you got it working tree lol... yes an icons folder is a clean way to go , this is how i did it, i noticed Doc has an icon folder so a assumed thats what people who use this skin will use for thier icons, just need to change the path in the icon.txt, if you want to move the icons into the right postion change the txt to .skin then you can move about in skin editor, you can also change the INC,Icons.txt to INC,Icons.skin to make it easyier.
doc i think its time for you to make your icons, lol...
if any more help is needed just shout, i'm taking along break from skinning at mo. rebuilding my new purchase (Truck) trying to see how to fit £5000 worth of stereo equip in there, anyway you know where to find me lol...
Good luck and ENJOY

Please no, this is your baby! That excersice was just "proof of concept" - I differ to you and i'll help with it whenever i can. If you can make an icon pack of your icon on the main screen, that would be perfect and WOULD blend with the nav arrows.
It is not fun anymore if it become too complicated so i sugest you stick with your original plan.
It was fun Hacking it tho"

totaly lost!!!
this is the nicest ever skin I have seen here at Mp3car forum. Thanks alot guys :-)
But I can't manage to make this skin working. I installed it but there is not any nice clock same as first post picture there and instead there is a white ugly clock which is not working. also I don't know how to get visualization working, there is not any nice transparet visualization there even when I click on the visualization button.
also as soos as I click on configuration Icon on the bottom right of the screen, whole RR freezes and there is no way to get out of RR after that except using Taskmanager to endprocess RR.
by the way I don't have any extra dongle installed on my car pc like bluetooth, gps etc...
I read something about flash stuff in another threads but i got totally confused.
I would appreciate any help

I suspect that you need to install the latest version of flash. You will need to do this using IE, even if you use opera, firefox or another browser.
cheers

1)The reason i did not include that nice round clock is because, even though it looks god with the background, when you use lighte backgrounds its very dificult to see, and i know how everyone likes their own backgrounds. Once i figue this flash thing out, hopefull i will make a personalized clock that will look good no matter what.
2) as long as you follow the directions including in RR Help file to set up you visualization, all should wok fine.
As for the other issues, i am unsure, as i've not un into them. If someone else has experienced them then i'm sure they will help in figuring them out.

Garmin skin for 506
I have taken the liberty to come up with a skin for Garmin Mobile PC, that makes it look more integrated with the style of 506 that we all like. Here is a few teasers for those interested:

-more pics of Garmin skinning
Below is a zip file, that contains ONLY THE GREEN skin. My computer is acting up so I haven't been able to get the Blue and Red put together. Give the Green a go and tell me the problems. I havent taken the time to do a GMPC osk so the OSK button won't work I believe. Let me know you opinions.
Enjoy

awesome skin. very nice.
The only thing I can think of with the Garmin portion is to give Garmin a bit more screen real-estate. Garmin is "fat" as it is, and the more screen area you give it the better it looks IMO. The default riderunner skin is a good example of what I mean. The buttons along the bottom are smaller, there's not as much up top...but either way, I still like what I see

I agree, but the skin size is 800x600 which is what alot of people run. The only option is to go longer by shortening the buttons on the bottom (which makes it a lil less user friendly). This is the best I could get, and I can see the details pretty well on the laptop. Someone test it on a 7" lilliput and post up their opinion.
Also, added a few more pictures of just the Garmin skin

I installed latest flash player off adobe website just minutes ago :-)
then I found that wrx website which contains logos and clocks... I downloaded the package and replaced the clock shockwave with the old white one... but now when rr loads, it wont show the logo eventho I have logo_main there... but when I click on it it shows the clock but there are white edges all around the clock.
RR JUST LOADED
AFTER I CLICKED ON THE CLOCK

Hey man. I just tried replicating your problem with no success. It works fine for me. I downloaded the new flash and all just to make sure and it worked okay.
Do this; (1) make a folder called Clock in the support folder of the 506 skin. (2) unzip the file from the wrx site into that folder. (3) Rename the "MPH Clock, Speedo & Compass (v3).swf" to MPHClock.swf and (4) in the menu.skin replace the clock line with F01,340,110,340,340,"SUPPORT\Clock\MPHClock.swf"
I know it sound tideous but try it and let me know how that works.
