on another note, I dont seem to be getting any flash moving bits .. Is this right, I thought this skin had flash components on the main skin ?

might be just me not tickin something or not having something installed

hmm A nice bmw logo in there would be good me thinks :-)

also If its okwith Holistic I wouldnt mind changing the purple (although it is nice) to orange, then it would suit my dash better

hey guys how hard is it make make a flash file, does it need programming?
Do you have any guides to follow to make a little flash file? I would like to make a lexus one!

Also would it be possible to make the lables "MP3" "GPS",etc and background in flash too

Any possibility of having different colours for the button backgrounds....Grey is ok, but some nice colour combination would really spruce it up...but i guess that's subjective...

I was very excited about this skin until I installed it and then I noticed a few things.
The very top seems to be hidden or something. Looks like there are buttons that are above the edge of the screen. Drives me crazy. The default brushed metal skin doesn't do this so I am not sure what is going on. Maybe it is just a trick of the eye.

Also I really miss the mp3 visualization embedding.

And finally I had a hard time trying to figure out how to navigate through my music. Doesn't seem to have a way to manage the playlist. If it does, it is hard to find for me.

I would like to have the road runner cartoon guy replaced with a Nissan Logo so it looks more oem.

as said in the very first post... it's still in beta stage.... i needed other people than me to check it out
cause when u work with the skin all the time u
eventually dont notice those tiny errors that's bound to come when u make a skin completely from ground

the thing in the top must be your eyes.... guess it's the 3d effect of the buttons that make it seem to u that theres another layer of buttons just outside the screen

the visu are gonna be embedded when i update the screen

as for the playlist.... it works fine here

but this is exactly why i need u people to check it out for me

and btw... the update wont be ready before tomorow..... and i might do a some different logo's for the middle

Show off ---- just kidding hehe, there's a lot of little things that still need to be fixed with this skin.. one of them being the vis (which really is just an extra line in the skin file). As a beta stage, I'm pretty happy with the way it works.. and it helps me test RR for specific things..

Holistic: I have implemented the "main" code and rebuilt the navigational commands of RR to support going from any screen to any screen. The update for version 2-17-05 is out. There are also a few other skin commands added.

A little update

Fixed:

Fixed the slider thing

Fixed close button in gps menu's, external dvd menu and in launch menu

Added play/stop/prev/next and an osk button in the launch menu

Fixed so all submenu's to return to main screen exept mixer and browser menu's (thx Guino)

Cover is now shown in audioplayer

All Radio_player code is complete (fonts and stuff are now the right size)

Fixed so audio_player now shows repeat and shuffle

Fixed other minor bugs here and there
including the volume indicator in radio and audio wasn't in the same position


Still not done:

still needs to make visualisation embedded in the skin
list menu
radio menu
some minor flash components (incl. song scroll and logos)

cancelled:

decided not to do mappoint

i'll release a little later today... still need to do som flash logos before this release

yup Destinator/MM is going to be integrated fully in my RR skin
next release of the skin will be final.
there's not gonna be more releases unless people finds some real bad bugs (or Guino invents some real super cool feature that have to be in the skin)

it's gonna be released this weekend

a new skin is on the way... estimated release 2 weeks
no screenshots... u people gotta wait for it

is there anyway to embedd the vis. into the the left box on the mp3 player , where it shows the album art,i was looking in the skin files but didnt see how i can do this

Also how come the album art doesnt display when a song is playing, the box is just empty, is this skin related or something guino has to add
