Road Runner skin for iguidance

Since guino has added sendkeys to road runner skin commands i decided to make a brushed metal skin for iguidance. This skin would make the all the iguidance menus bigger, the only thing i can't figure out how to implement is the textbox above iguidance keyboard. Here is a link to a sample i came up with in about 30min IGskin. You can place the extracted files in any 800x600 skin. The menu button on the skin activates iguidance menu. Use with RR of 4-19-05, and make sure iguidance is focused by clicking on the map before you press the new menu button

wow i didnt know this can be done, but when we click on the menu buttons would they[the menus] still be small with the small fonts, etc... or can that be changed too.....for example lets say i click on the "destinations" tab, this will bring up the default destination screen in IG, or can you also change that screen too

also is there any way to make the OSK in iguidance bigger so it can be read on a 7" screen....my main problem in IG is that its a pain in the *** to put in a destination on a 7" LCD

Yes when you click on the destination button it will bring up another brushed metal screen to select the type of destination. I am working on a bigger osk that will only open up when the igudance osk come up, it will sit on top of the igudance to hide it.

yep great idea,

i just got done messin around with it, works very well so far....would it be possible to add a 3d/2d icon next to the menu one

one more little thing i noticed was that when you cancel a menu screen, you will still see the default IG screen behind it, is there a way to have it close when you close the custom menu

That would me great if you could help create some of the menus, although i just realized i would not be able to creat a skin for the menus that display more than just buttons, see screenshots below. This leaves only the menu, destinations, and Point of instrest screen, all others display some kind of info which the new skin would not be able to capture. Alothough a skin can be made for the Select Input Method screen were you won't be able to see the state currently selected, but you will be able to click a change state button to verify you are in state you want.

ok for the "route option" menu it can be left as the default because this sceen and about 2 other ones can be resized with reshacker by just changing the fonts, i have this now in my car and those 3 screen are good for TS on a 7" LCD.....i beleive i set it at font 14. Here is a screen shot from my set up below.....you saw THIS thread?

Now as far as the "recent destiantions" and other screens, is there a way to just embedd the text and place your skin over the default buttons....guino is this possible..

or maybe we can just make the fonts bigger and we wont use any of the default buttons.....like with the "menu" button...its still showing but we would click on your skin "menu" button

How about the keyboard, how is that coming along?

I really like your this skin. How is the skin comming along I installed it on my desktop and found on my desktop I would love some zoom features like the mappoint skin and there is a problem go back and forth to music it just keeps opening another map instead of going back to the map you already have open .Thanks for you hard work looking forward to the finished skin
