RoadRunner Skin - ZdGrey
DOWNLOAD ZdGreY V1.4
Updated to version 1.4 on 25-09-2005
Edit1: Updated Screenshots 14-07-05
Edit2: Added Download link to v1.0 22-07-05
Edit3: Added new screenshots 25-07-05
Edit4: Added Equalizer screenshot 26-07-05
Edit5: ZdGrey v1.1 29-04-05
Edit6: ZdGrey v1.2 18-08-05
Edit7: ZdGrey v1.3 26-08-05
Edit8: ZdGrey v1.4 25-09-05
Complete:- Audio Browser
- Audio Player
- Exit Menu
- Main Menu
- Style Menu (Appearance)
- Skin Browser
- GPS (MapMonkey)
- Video (Divx)
- DVD
- Equalizer
- Nintendo64 Emulator (Project64)
- External GPS
- Night Skin
Most skins seem to be cluttered with buttons and options like cdrip, tv, audio, phoco, browser, etc. All those options are cool and all, but I never use them, so I don't need them and I'm going to leave them all out. (Maybe when the skin is done for my needs I'll add screens if there is a request for it, or I'll just release the psd files.)
Screenshots:
Main Menu (night skin): (added new screenshot 25-09-05)
Audio Player: (added new screenshot 25-09-05)
I also made skins for FreeDrive and MapMonkey check www.zdclan.nl for more info.
Credits:
Guino for the fantastic support on RoadRunner, you're the best!
Zots for allowing me to use his sliders.
RoyN for helping me out with alot of things (directory browsing!) and alot of other things. Thanks man!
Joltmeister for being the best roommate ever and testing my skin and for putting up with my whining
Erwin for the Sensor skin.
Everyone else who contributed Thanks!
Zd for life!

Looks great..
Like the fact that it is not cluttered as you say yourself..
Not _everybody_ have tv and/or phoco needs in their car..
I atleast know that I am not one of those who need it..
Cant wait to see the changes to the background..
Cheers

Looks great!
Maybe you can change the button fonts a little, I think they don't match the 'LCD screen' in the middle.

Agreed, that's why I asked for good fonts, I've spend hours (litterally) looking for a good font, but I can't find one. So if you happen to know a good font please tell me!

I've updated the pictures in the 1st post. Still not happy with the background, but it is better than it was.
Thanks Mauri, I used "Venus Rising" on the Main Menu.

Hey Meelobee, I just saw that you are from Amsterdam. There is also a Dutch 'carputer' forum.
www.carputerforum.nl
We are trying to make a 'carputer forum' skin, you may want to take a look at it
http://www.carputerforum.nl/carpc/showthread.php?t=704
We are now collecting some skin ideas. When we have gathered some skins we pick out the best looking skin and finish it.
Groeten Erwin
BTW: I think you better remove the 'Artist Album Time Track' labels from the menu.skin picture because you always get some color difference between the labels. I think it is better to put in all the labels with the skineditor.

I've got an account there, but I don't think people like me much there, because of a comment I gave on someone's car (admitted I wasn't very subtle, but said what I thought..) But I'll have a look.

You mean take out the labels in Photoshop and add them in the skineditor? Nice, I didn't know that was possible. As you said the color difference is a PITA. Thanks, will try that.
Do you have msn? might be nice to have a chat sometime.(meelobee@hotmail.com)

I've never noticed you there. I just searched for some of you posts, and most of them are deleted. You must have said some really bad things there.

That is exacly what I mean. To add a textlabel in the skineditor just use the = sign. E.g. "=Artist". If you want another example just look at the Brushed Metal skin. At the upper right corner of the meni.skin (L03 CAR and L05 outside)

Hi Melobee, is it possible to have more space between the 2 sliders. When change one you can by mistake change the other too, especially while driving.
