Excellent write-up. I'd been planning on using someone's previously made skin (folks have done some great work), but now I've changed my plans.

I haven't yet done any work, and I guess that will be the true test, but I already feel MUCH better about the task at hand.

Just an FYI - I'm looking to make a skin that will match the red/blue of the well know VW colors - Gauges

Hey no prob. I think you'll be surprised at how easy it will be. Also, I gotta tell you. The whole Car-PC experience didn't NEARLY come to life for me until I was able to manipulate and conrol my own skins.

Thanks Tracker. It came to my attention recently that this file has had thousands of downloads, yet very few comments. If people are finding it helpful, thats great. I'm just surprised there isn't much criticism or feedback to improve it. Must be working I guess. hope it helps.
