It would be cool if you could choose the color of the skin via a setting... that way you wouldn't have to make a 100 different colors...

IntellaWorks, if you're talking about changing the Hue/Saturation of a skin on the fly, it has to be done by the application itself, ie. Road Runner. As far as I know, no applications implement that functionality since it'd be a total resource hog.
I'm trying to come up with an semi-automated process to change the color on my skin, though. This way, i could put out multiple different color schemes without doing much work on the backend.
Edit: Intella, I reread your comment and figured you meant the same thing as I did.
guino, thanks for the compliments.

I would love this skin in amber/orange minus the background junk in the left menu bar and with a different web icon
Pretty sure Ill be making the switch from Centrafuse once the orange one comes out
Major props dude

Just to let you guys know, I'm working on the photoshop script for altering the colors right now. I'll be releasing the green and orange (and maybe red) versions soon.

Awesome
Question about the PSD: Is there a way to save it so that all the proper files are output and you dont have to sit there forever turning off and on layers and saving each individual one?
Also I was having trouble opening the PSD in CS2 but it opened fine in 7

CF is pretty good but the functionality of the program is really lacking
The slow development is also not helping
The only thing I dont like about RR is the interface but with this skin it would be near perfect. Best of both worlds

aolhater, that's what i was thinking too, when i saw proximo's skin for CF, i was like, ok yeah this is what we need, and with it getting moved to RR, thats a huge plus.. RR has SO Much functionality, and like mentioned, development time is quick thanks to Guino. I'll most likely switch back and forth between the two, but I'll be playing with RR more right now.
btw, i'm a nissan family member as well, and was thinking of buying some g35 18" wheels and rims.. you reocmmend any forums, or locations to go to purchase these wheels?
thanks

You know what b8, thats probably the better way to go instead of trying to build it into RR. Just give out the .psd's and somewhere have a script where you can drop in the RGB color of your choice and they can run it, if they have photoshop of course....

b8bboi,
I modified the ExecTBL.ini and put it in the root RoadRunner folder, however it is pointing to a skin file that did not exist in your zipped up skin package. I personally use iGuidance as well and was hoping to get your intended iGuidance settings. Am I missing something to get iGuidance with more iGuidance related buttons in full screen mode? Also, was I right to put the ExecTBL.ini into the root of the RR folder?
Thanks for your help and for porting this skin.

The ExecTLB.ini file must be inside the CFX skin folder. Make sure you have the latest RR.
You're right that there's a bug in my ExecTBL.ini file. Line 17 should read.
Quote:
/** Path to iGuidance
"iGuidance_Fullscreen","LOAD;external_gps_full.ski n;RUN;C:\Program Files\Road Runner\SKINbedder_v2.99999\SKINbedder.exe;SKINbedd er"
I had "external_gps_fs.skin" there before.
I'll be posting a new version with some bug fixes soon.

Green, Orange and Red versions posted. See first post for download links.
To make your own color, you need Adobe Photoshop.
Download this action script and load it into you Photoshop action panel.
http://download.andgear.com/rr/skins...bboi/Green.atn
It's for green but change the Hue/Sat action to get different colors. Open an image (pick one from CFX). Go to the Action panel -> Record. Change the Hue/Saturation/Lightness until you're satisfied. Stop recording. Delete the old Hue/Saturation action. Move the newly recorded Hue/Saturation action to where it was.
More Instructions:
1. Create a new folder, call it CFX_Images. Copy all .jpg files from the original CFX folder into this one. (Note: DO NOT copy the GIF files).
2. Create another folder and call it CFX_Mod. (Make sure it's empty before you continue)
3. Open Photoshop -> File -> Automate -> Batch...
4. Select the Green action above.
5. Select CFX_Images for the Source folder.
6. Select CFX_Mod for the Destination folder. Check "Override Action Save As Commands."
7. Click OK and wait for Photoshop to complete the task.
8. Make a copy of the CFX folder and call it, say, CFX_Purple.
9. Copy all images from CFX_Mod into CFX_Purple, overwriting the existing ones.
10. (Optional) Open all the .skin files in your text editor and change the following color values to match with your new skin. I recommend Text Pad. Best text editor I've used.
List Selected Item Background: 105,152,186 -> something else
List Selected Item Foreground: 19,46,76 -> something else
LCD background in OSK, Num_OSK and Phoco: 42,98,147 -> something else
