I think one thing that might help better support .png's is in the "editor settings" have a field to select the background image (for editing only) from the background folder, then if the skin is in .png it would be transparent to show through, if not, the normal .jpgs would show above it.

I know nothing really about coding this into a program, so I'm not sure how hard that would be to implement this. (also not sure about the .png format and how it would work.) Maybe getting with guino about his newest release and combining the code would get it all to work well...??

I second (or third or whatever) the vote to have a right click menu so that you could click on a button and be able to view properties, and have an option to copy to a different skin.

I know you're busy, as we all are, so I will patiently wait for this to be considered.

Thanks for all your hard work on this, if it weren't for your work, I'd have a very poor skin.

Profit sent the latest source for the editor to me in email, and I forwarded to to Guino. He is working on it at the very moment, as I type this. So in the end, the editor will support the PNG's that Profit put in, as well as showing a background image, that Guino put in. Plus all the other great additions that Profit added, the ability to use the mouse to move and resize objects, the virtual text editor, undo support and all that great stuff.

Then Guino has to add the info for the new header information that the skins require for the upcoming RR release, as well as the definitions for the objects.txt file. It's a lot of work actually! I looked at the source, and its way above my head!

As far as having an image in the background, its simple as just putting a background.jpg in the RR folder, and the editor will use that to show behind transparent skins. As far as non transparent skins, it will just use your images in the skin files themselves no problem.

The version on this thread shows white background only (V 0.3...) .. my version (another thread) supports the background but doesn't have many of the improvements of this one.. Version 0.5 will have all merged.
