How do you currently handle it, din?
do you read off a Sxx list? if so, it is just a matter of sending a different command to RR when you have a list-click.... if you tell me a bit about how you do it I can prolly suggest a few ways around it.
thanks for the effort!

If i remember correctly, all you have to do is add this to the ExecTBL and load the browser instead of the audio_player right?
"ONFILECLICK","!SELECT"
"ONDIRCLICK","BROWSE"
But since its all in flash, the ExecTBL is out the window. Currently, I have the music browsing setup so that you can only:
1. Add an album to the playlist
2. Browse into ONE directory only
3. Add songs within that directory
4. Browse back
It's like this because I have my music setup like this (ALBUM FOLDERS > SONGS) as you can see in the video.
Anyways, I could easily add directory browsing to how it is now because of the way it's set up. All i need to do is change the ADD to !SELECT right? But the problem will be how to tell if there are folders within folders ie. (ARTIST > ALBUMS > SONGS) This is a flash issue so i'm not 100% sure how to approach it ATM, but I will have a look. -Thanks

Alright, I added the directory player as requested. Roy, could you check out this vid and let me know if that's what you had in mind? Also, I added some screens to the first post.
Below is the new screen capture, It shows a volume "idea", playlist clearing, directory playing, iGuidance support and the lock screen. Requests and Suggestions are welcome:

Dinasty,
Impressive indeed. Did you intend for audio playback toa lways be paused/silent when GPS is loaded? Also, will there be some explaination, once a beta is released, of all of the buttons? Seems like you put a lot of thought into how music is added/removed from the current playlist, which i like.
thanks again for the incredible work.

very nice.... thats it really...
just have top watch out so that the "highlighted song" changes along with the song changes (as you play through a list, the highlighted song shifts down as the next song strts playing - RR already does this, gotta check if flash is following too)...
also, I assume that the music stopping when u go to GPS isnt intended right?
and the clicks to get into the "right mode" for directory player, can we have like a static config file that we say "always use directory playing" to hide the BROWSER option, and these additional options (like remove from playlist, etc)

Yeah that was my intention... I like to have it silent when I use the nav. But all that's happening is the flash is sending an "IGVOL" command to RR so you can just edit it out of the ExecTBL.ini if you want music while in the gps screen. Also, I plan on adding player controls to the autoit (which didn't show up in the vid) so that you can control the music like that. -DiNASTY

just one thought, I at least (and I guess many others) use FreeDrive, could we have a flash "menubar" skin that is just the menu, with an embed area below?
then I can do a FD skin and be done with it

Thanks, I would much rather do a patch or something so that it's just Dir playing because the way it is now is kinda confusing i think.

ehehehe I'll slow down
Anyways, yeah,a patch or just 2 versions of the audio player screen, we cna just rename would be fine...
Are you sure it wouldnt show over? If we dont use Clip definition, a mouse-down on the menu should bring rr to focus, no?
Maybe just have the volume thing, and a BACK in place of menu?

Dinasty, I agree its starting to look a little confusing. Maybe keep it the way it was for music browsing.
Volume idea looks good. Actually the whole bloody thing looks fantastic! As the last 7 pages have said!!
This is really going to make it hard for the streetdeck guys to justify their software!! 8-)
