The best I can offer is a loadable image say of your car logo / car that will show when a album image isnt there.
I spent last night writing a little VB app, this is going to be embedded in this skin, which will enable you to change the skin colour on the fly.. so if you want a diff colour you just goto settings, pick your colour and click SAVE, this then updates a txt file and also sends the command to RR to reload its skin.. it works great :-)
now just to do the rest of the skins.. :-)
Would it be possible to set this colour either by RGB or # code ie if you have a specific code you want to use ?

EDIT What about having 3 and linking the color to the brightness button so colours can be changed when the screen is dimmed. The affect can be brighter outlines on buttons while over all maintaining a dark screen - ideal for night driving.

Yeah, that would work too. Better than having an empty screen.
I can't wait for this to come out. It is really off the scale...

will add a loadable picture this afternoon, just added 10 editable menu buttons like in MC2.0, you can set if you wish the colour via the same file in a hex value if you already know the colour you want.. I might add a day colour and a night colour, which will allow you to switch between em at a press of a button..
&menucolour=10FF84&
&b1=Audio@AUDIO&
&b2=Video@VIDEO&
&b3=Radio@RADIOSHARK&
&b4=TV@TV&
&b5=GPS@GPS&
&b6=Apps@LAUNCH&
&b7=Weather@WEATHER&
&b8=Web@WEB&
&b9=Games@LOAD;game.SKIN&
&b10=Skins@SKIN&
{edit}
ok added it so it loads the audio_off.jpg image so if you dont have any album art it will show whatever is on that image.
Think thats about finished now, dont want to go overboard on it.. got the audio_browser now to do.. not looking forward to that.. lol

ok, very happy with the audio skin, still thinking about the browser, but I made the main menu tonight, the colour button on the left loads a colour picker app, which lets you pick the colour of the skin, then reloads it in your new choosen colour.. works very well to be honest.. well chuffed with it.
its a slow process because I keep going back and changing things.. hmmmmm
OK just uploaded a NEW avi in divx format.. :-) Linky in first post

The video is a must! Just looking at the screenshots will not do justice to this skin.
I tried grabbing the demo but the file seems to be down...
