This is my first attempt at an RR skin. Before I started this I did not know how many abilities RR actually has. It is simply amazing and I am trying hard to implement as many as I can with out hogging resources from my CPU.
Anyway, let me know what you think. This is all in standard Jpeg no flash. I intend to have a drop down menu, that will be totally customizable for quick pick buttons. Allowing you to add your own menu items that will be available from any screen.

picture in upper left corner displays a custom drop menu when pressed.
Keeping away from flash will increase speed dramatically for users of EPIA mother boards (such as my self)
Gas prices will take advantage of Gas Price Grabber Included with RR 09-05-06 and later.
All button labels are changeable via the Skin Label Commands. No text was printed directly to JPEGS so all is changeable.

98% DONE FULLY FUNCTIONAL. Here are the Screen shots.
Current Status:
Main Menu = 100%
Exit Menu = 100%
GPS (screenshot with IG v3.0)= 100%
Music = 100%
Media Browser = 100%
Custom Drop Menu = 100%
DVD= 0 (Future)
External Apps = 100%
SKins =100%
Weather = 100%
Gas Prices = 100%
Internet = 100%
Games = 100%
Info Screen = 100%
Password Protected Road Runner Exit = 100%
Phone Integration = 0% (In Thought)
Other addins later on = 0 (Future)

not bad,
i think you should be more consistant with your graphic styles though. The bottom looks like CF and the middle and top area have different styles of there own. Looks like your bottom row of buttons in the middle area are cut off on the top.

not bad. i would change the font. it just doesnt look right. your middle and bottom portion look good, i would work on that top right hand portion a little more. looks like you just went into photoshop and hit the clouds filter and slapped that on there.

Edit: isnt it Motley Crue?

THey look cut off because that is the pop up menu on top. Look at the bottom most screen shot, it shows the complete main menu. It is unfinished so everything is rather beta.

As for the fonts, I do agree, I am pretty undecided on them. I probably should not have thrown it out for showing yet, but I needed some opinions and ideas.
Thanks to all..

Changes with an update

after taking in some input I decided to make some changes.
I did keep the CF style buttons on the bottom, that wont change.
But as far as my menu buttons and audio menu. Big changes were made.
Button Labelling is done in the skin editor so it can be changed.
Different fonts used
Audio menu completely re-done, I didnt like the old one at all.
Anyway need some input.
Oh yeah completed the gas price menu... I like this, it will not change

Thanks alot, I will probably make a skin for GPS Gas, but for now it is the gas price finder native to RR.
Looking at the vid for GPS Gas, I would say since it has IG support, I will be using that in the future though. I like IG alot better than Map point.
Thanks again....

Yeah, I agree on the fonts, they are changed now... 09-07-2006
TO tell you the truth, all I did was hit the render clouds filter and I liked it. Good observation.

I am having problems using the sendkey command from my games menu. I am trying to create a game pad on the top that will sent arrow key commands to the embedded game.
Can I get some schooling on this please. I need the help.

Currently this is what I am using for send key, anything I am doing wrong here.
"ACTIVATE;Form1||SENDKEY;{LEFT}"
I am trying to send keyboard commands to the embedded app.

the apps window name is "Form1"? If so then that looks good. I would add a GETFOCUS command to the end to give the focus back to rr when the key is sent

Tried using getgocus.
Nothing seems to work. The app embeds fine with the form1 set as the window name but I cant get a sendkey to happen?
current command pressed from a button doesnt work
"ACTIVATE;Form1||SENDKEY;{DOWN}||GETFOCUS"
