Help needed to change a skin

At this moment I use Mauri skin. After trying different ones, this one suite me the best.
But,since this skin doesn't support phone I want to ad this myself.

Idea is to change the DVD section and make a phone part i it.

Problem is that I dont have any clou how to do this.

Is there somebody with photoshop experiance willing to do this for me or help me doeing it myself??

I tried to use the phonecontrol trough the APSS section but that doesn't work how it should do

Depends, do you want to modify a screen to work with the PhoCo, or do you have a PhoCo part of a skin you want to use.

The first is difficult, and will require many changes to the skin. It will require changing on the buttons to access PhoCO commands. This can be accomplished with the RR Skins Editor, but will be time consuming, and hard. Of course, then to change how the buttons look (say for example, the button now says "PLAY" and you want it to be "DIAL", you will have to change the button in PhotoShop. This is very time consuming)

The second is VERY easy, but will not necessarily look the same as the rest of the skin. Just take a skin that has PhoCO, and that you like, and then go to the Skin folder of that skin, and find the "PhoCo" parts (there will be at least 3 or more that have "PhoCoxxx.xxx" and copy them to the skin folder that you are using. You will also have to modify a button on your current skins Menu (using RR Skin Editor if you want) to start pho co. Read the skincommands.txt file to see what command is needed (or if using RRSkin Editor, it might already be in there) and then you should be done.

What I want is first to change the DVD button in to PHONE button.
The when I press it a skin (doesnt matter how it looks , as long as I can go back to the main menu when I dont use the phone) appears.

Michael, I think that the second option you give is the best way to do it.

I will look at the other skins an when I find one with phone part in it I will try to do what you describe.
Problem will be to figure out how to tell the skin that when i press the button he needs to go to that phone skin

That part is pretty easy. Just need RR Skin Editor, and the command, which should be in the skin commands text file.

Dalailama, I found a skin that I can use. But I can I send it to you?? I can't find you adress. Send me please a PM.

I will send you all the files needed.
Also will send some new fonts with them. Can you please look if your able to change the DVD button in to PHONE using this fonts??

I get them from Mauri, he made the skin I use.

When I was looking around to find a nice Phoco skin a saw a nice picture , that maybee in the future Mauri can use to intergrate Phoco into his skin:

Doesn't it look AMAZING

just what I needed.

Only problem is that when I press the PHONE BUTTON inde main menu, i go to the original DVD screen instead of going to the phone skin??

Any ideas how this is possible

Hello Seninha,

you need to change the button on Mauri's skin to be something like

B99,100,100,100,50,"LOAD;Phoco.skin",""

The last part (in red) defines the skin file to load.

Oke, I have the next line in my MENU.SKIN

B04,562,187,220,110,"DVD",""

changed to

B04,562,187,220,110,"LOAD"phoco.skin"" and it works .

As I dont have my Bluetooth Dongle attached I cant connect to my phone.
So I can't tell if every thing is working.

There was one thing that I find strange.
Where normally the phonebook is suppose to be I now see the TRACKS that I am playing in my Audio skin
Will be this oke when the telephone is connected to my BT and Phonecontrol is running????

Do i choose a phone skin and Dalailama is kind enough to change it zo it will fit in my skin,do I find out that the Phone skin is not working

I finnally could start the phone section to test it with my phone and nothing happens

My pphonebook is not listed.

So I installed the Mustang skin and when I press PHONE it saids COMMING SOON

Sorry , Dalailama that al your work didn't bring me what I needed. I will contact mbkowns to ask him if he can help me get this to work.

Okay

Skin is on his way. This one works correct.

The problem with the other is that the RED and GREEN button don't work. Only when I type the number I can make a call. If I choose one of the names out of my phonebook nothing happends.

The skin that I send you by mail everything works how it should.
