I've been working on a smart playlist (aka smart view) plugin for Road Runner. This allows you to query winamp5's media library to search for songs and build dynamic playlists on the fly. I know this thread is old, but I though I would test out this skin. I am having a heck of a time getting anything to work. I tried editing my music path in the exectbl.ini as well as set a pics path in the rr.ini, but when I change them and try to save changes my system doesn't allow it. I am running Vista and the lastes version of Winamp because I was only going to use an audio video winamp skin rather than a front end for everything, so this may be the problem,

I can view some songs, and access different features, but the response is slowwwww. Any suggestions are appreciated.

can i ask a question..
i am trying to use the vis changer in another skin..
it works OK changing the vis in winamp..what i don't understand is what does "visembed" do..in your exectbl.ini it is: "VISEMBED","RUN;;$WVIS$"
so you put the vis class name in the variable $WVIS$ and then put that in rr.ini?
(should I have in rr.ini the visuname=WVIS?) and what does "RUN;;$WVIS$" do exactly?
so whenever i would like a viz change i should run both "visembed" + switchvisP.exe/switchvis.exe ?

If you are using the AVS Visu, you do not need a script or anything. Just use this button code:

"NEXTAVS"
"PREVAVS"

This will cycle to the next and previous AVS's Visu's.

i figured it out..john thanx.
i am using climax and visatan...
since i have the vis in the menu.skin and a different in the audio_player.skin, i have the vis OFF in winamp on start...then run "switchvis.exe" as a start command.. then swithchvis.exe on the button that takes me to the audio_player.skin..

theproblem was that the vis was not embedding at loading in the menu.skin..without running switchvis.exe first..event though i had the class name of the visatan in visuname=xxx, (which swithchvis.exe is supposed to change on run)

The source is in .fla and i know thats your thing (rare on here too).

There's another 1 that already uses winamp but there's no source available for it = http://labs.beffa.org/coverplay/.

Do you think you could make it work??

I cannot seem to get the visualizations to work, loaded them into Winamp along with the dll files into roadrunner. able to run them from winamp (except G-force) Which one gives you the equalizer bars? Is there a dll file I need to register? I am using Winamp 5.13
Also when I exit Iguidance all I get is a blank screen until I exit. Great skin though, love the cover art browser.

i am getting one anomaly with highlighted items in the audio section. they override the album art. is this normal?

yep, you're right, sorry i missed that.

on another note, i am trying to get rrearth to run and have linked the GE_START command to a button but when i click it nothing happens. i have registered the dll and everything, and the plugin is working properly inside of another skin (iphone) after being launched the same way. i dont think anything needs to be added to exectbl.ini, right? any idea what's going on?

sorry for so many posts, but i also noticed that none of the iguidance commands seem to work. as soon as i click one, roadrunner disappears and i just get a lil gray box in the upper left corner of my screen. however rr is still running in task manager. i noticed that it is referencing to a lot of scripts. does this need to be setup somehow to make sure its referencing to the correct exe?

You need to check that you have the right skin files in place .. RR has some checking but not for everything.. you need to see if RREARTH.SKIN is in the skin's folder AND that it has the required image files for it. Similarly to the screen for IG that you're trying to use.

i noticed if i run iguidance outside of rr and then manually execute address.exe or any other script, it works perfectly and pulls up the appropriate menu. however in rr, the igpopup skin shows up fine, but whenever i click a button, it breaks. here is the debug code, and it seems like the exe is being run and everything breaks after that.

There's a space in front of iGLaunch and a \ in front of the IGSCripts\ -- neither of which should be there.. give it a try removing those, but I'd say there's probably more to it.

yea i tried modifying those lines in the igpopup skin but it didnt work. oh well, it looks like this is an older skin and the creator isnt actively supporting it. i appreciate the help anyways guino
