1) Unrar iGNexus to SKINbedder\iGNexus.
2) Setup CF Nexus to run "iG3" as "SKINbedder.exe" with params "iGNexus".
3) Copy "iG3.png" to the CF\Skins\Nexus\icons directory.
4) Use ResHacker.exe to edit the iGuidanceUMPC.exe that was modified with JIT's Nexus graphics.
5) Replace bitmaps 120, 121, 139, and 238 with a single pixel bmp (dot.bmp included).
6) You can optionally replace the arrow with your car in bitmaps 176-183 [2D], 184-191/192-199 [3D])

I left off Volume and Mute. I'd love it if you'ld want to add them or figure out some of the other graphics bugs. When Sb loads in full-screen or in windowed everything looks great, but if you switch you will notice a 1-pixel line between the map and the boarder. I noticed the same thing with the GooPs window moving over 1-pixel in my GE-Nexus skin. I'm not sure if it is a bug with CF, a bug with SKINbedder, or just something than could be fixed by editing the SKINs PNG and/or INI files.
Oh, also did you look into allowing people to "Slip-Stream" in pictures of their car with your iG3 patcher? Now that I have done it twice and I've only had iG3 a month, I am not looking forward to having to do it again if/when you release an update to your Nexus hack.
On second thought, I don't really like the 2D/3D and N/H toggle buttons. Should I make them normal buttons or toggle buttons, and with 3D/N, 3D/H or 2D/N (since my default buttons-up setting is 3D/H)?
...or should I leave them as alternating button up toggles? Should they say the mode pressing them will change to (as it is now if you set your iG to open up as 3D/H), or should the button text display the current mode instead?
Edit: I guess I could reduce the font size and make them normal or toggle with the text 2D/3D and N/H (or maybe a compass icon).
BTW: The left side nav is Menu, Dest, Save, Cancel Route. I'm not sure if I like the arrow icon for Dest or not. The boarder around iG could also be improved, but you wouldn't want to waste too many pixels thereby reducing the size of your map.
I think the biggest problem with this design, is the resulting size of the Guidance screen. When you are about to hit a turn, ig3 will zoom in a bit and put blue vertical lines to each side of the screen. Normally its OK to lose that horizontal space, but now that you have taken another 200 pixels, it really adds on, and makes it much too small in Guidance mode
Humm... well we could shave off another 20 or so from each side and see how it looks. I don't really use Guidance mode anyway. Auto-guidance is incredibly annoying and I just never manually switch over. Do you really us it a lot?
Hey RPM, I cant get it to embed properly. Here are my settings right now. I goto "Settings" in CF, then I click "+" to add a new one, then I select application (should I be selecting plugin?), name it "iG3", application to run "skinbedder.exe",
parameters "iGNexus", window title "iG3". This is what is giving me all the problems I listed in my pm. Someone please tell me what Im doing wrong.
? This was designed for use with JITs Nexus CF Skin at 800x480. If you look at the two top pictures in the first post of this thread, you will see that one of them has Save/Cancel on left and 3D/N on right, but the other one doesn't. This is full-screen vs. normal. In JITs Nexus skin, you have to click the very left edge to switch between full-screen or normal (there is no button, just click anywhere on the left edge). You can also setup CF to default to full-screen when you first open it through the setup iG3 options.
OMFG it works now...I could have sworn that I tried "iGNexus" as a window title before but I guess not....thanks for the help RPM and Justintime. Really appreciate the work you do on these forums
