i do have the wall plug, but I cut the end off. Also the adapter that I got with my TM-868 is UK, 220V. Not much use to me.

Thank you! I know the computer is big, but it's exactly what I was looking for. I wanted something that I could just throw hardware in, and not have to worry about heat, and room. I liked the rackmount idea because of the mounting.

Last weekend I had reapulstered the head liner in the car. The factory color was pale gray, now it's pure black.. (not done 1/2 fast. I went to a fabric store and ordered paded black headliner fabric, and 3M general trim spray contact glue.)

Next: Heater vent block-off plate. Then a 9" widescreen in each sun visor. :-D

Thank you for your help. I've ordered a regulated 1.5 amp DC to DC 12 volt power supply from my local electronics shop (why didn't I think to ask if they had them) and a 6 amp DC to DC power supply for my laptop from ebay.

With the 12 volt output supplies you have to be careful as many of them do not provide a regulated 12 volt output without an extra 3 volts input to play with (minimum 15 volts input). So at 14.8 volts, they just give you 14.8 volts.

Thanks again

no, no dynomat. I don't really listen to it that loud anymore. I might be pushing 100w to the sub. I just like it to sound full, and distortion free. Also, soundproofing the car would not help make my car any quieter inside. I have solid motor mounts, and solid torque bars making it so that _every_ engine/drivetrain noise/vibration resonates through the chassis. It was the only way to make it so that if my front tires loose traction, I won't get wheel-hop. by adding the 3/4 inch MDF all through the bottom of the trunk it is a little quieter.

What I need to do is get a battery isolator, and a second battery. I want to isolate the all of the pc/audio to it's own battery. My power supply take so much power that I can't have the computer on for 15mins and my car won't start. well, the 2 Rockford 4 channel, and JBL mono amp also draws a lot. I'm thinking about putting a gel-cell in the trunk. They are made to be charged/killed on a normal basis.

...and on a performance note, I want to find a Jacob's electronics 14v 60A Accuvolt for my pcm/ignition system. ;-)

Wow! FLIR is making a IR Thermo camera for automotive applications! 12Vdc with a normal (yellow) video plug! It's like $4500 for the damn thing, but check youtube for the video! That would be the perfect addition to my setup!

the t.v. antenna I used was a cheap ebay 'over the headliner' antenna, it could not get in ANY channels at all, so, now I'm just using some cheap bunny ear antennas in my back window. It was a cheap fix for the winter. I don't know what antenna I'll end up with, but it wont be these ugly bunny ears. :-)

The pictures are hosted on my own computer. The webserver runs on port 81. You should not have a problem if you're on your own connection. Most shared connections (most companies, schools, wifi spots) won't allow traffic on that port. try http://www.myspace.com/srt4pc .
