Looks like a lot of work. Good job on it. I probably would have gone with something black in the center to help integrate it more. To me, it looks like it visually pops out too much in contrast with the rest of the dash.

I think its probably pretty tough to bring an 8in into most dashes and this one looks pretty good. How long did it take you?

I only went with that particular silver, because of that being the factory color of that panel from Dodge. I would not have changed the color at all. I can't. I believe if it don't look factory, then it looks more likely to be stolen. The appeal of my car is 100% factory, for the exception of me still having my snow rims/tires on.

Oh, I have replaced the headlights with 12,000K HID replacement bulbs and added ballasts, and did the same with the fog bulbs, except those are 30,000K. I also replaced all other light bulbs with direct replacement LED bulbs. (25LED per unit). All of the lends's are factory and unmodified. I will post a before pic of the center panel. just for reference, the new one has just a little more sparkle.

Being the first time I had ever used fiber glass, it took about 6hours of prep, glass, prime, paint, and sanding. the rest of the install I have maybe 20hours on so far, and maybe 3-4 hours left for this weekend. Then all I'm going to do is make a SRT-4 skin to match the car.. I know a lot of people hate this car, but, it's just my daily driver, a.k.a. my sedan. I have a TT-RX7, and a `68 mustang coupe, but neither of those cars even has a radio in them, thay're just for racing.

Why does your srt have regualr rubber pedals? They all came with the metal foot pedals?

Anyways nice but the PC is huge.

The PC is huge, but to a point I like what you were going with on the rack mount... one suggestion, turn it around.

Have the computer facing the trunk opening, and either hide the amps or make them a nice amp rack. If you were to have the computer to the left, and an amprack displaying the amps on the right, and finnish off the trunk this install would go from okay to amazing (imho)

Honestly, I don't know.. It's a early `03 model, I have pondered the same thing.. I think I like the rubber feel, but the metal look.

tm-868

Nice job, I'm doing something similar for my 1995 HSE Range Rover.

I'm running GPS navigation, mp3 etc off a laptop with the charger powered by an inverter (300w cont, 1000w peak). I have a TM-868 touch screen which needs 12 volts. I have an AC adaptor for it which provides a regulated 12 volt supply, but I don't have the cigarette lighter adaptor for it.

Can anybody tell me what voltage the cigarette lighter adaptor for this screen provides when the engine is running? Does it regulate it back to 12 volts or do these screens run OK on 14.2 volts?

Any suggestions where I can get the proper adaptor for the tm-868

Thanks heaps

Greg

it does run 12 volts, i don't know if it will like being hooked up to the car's battery, I run mine off of my computers 12v. I did not want to risk damaging the screen, or just getting bad signal.

I would get rid of the inverter. Get a car charger for the laptop, save your alternator.

Do you happen to still have the standard 12 volt power supply for this?

Would you mind plugging it in to your lighter and measuring the voltage output for me please with the engine running?

And would you be interested in selling the adaptor?

I will keep my eye our for a car charger for my laptop

Thanks

the screen needs a 12Vdc 1A regulator, you could get this @ a local radio shack, even walmart should have a universal adapter w/switchable voltage.
