this install is based on a fujitsu st5021 tablet, it uses a 10.4" reflective screen, not transflective, but fully reflective. in the bright sun a transflective still relies on the backlight but a reflective screen you could turn the backlight off in the middle of the brightest sun & see it perfectly, the trade off is at night it's not quite as vivid as a conventional lcd, not a bad trade off to me. the whole moterboard will fit in the dash behind the screen

i decided I wanted to make this truck extra nice, the rest of the body had no damage at all, so I put new sheetmetal instead of fixing anything in the front, 2 new fenders & a new aluminum hood so it would be perfect & not a bondo bucket.
I wasn't too crazy about the silver, I mean it looks good & all, but the silver is just so common & average for these trucks, every other one I see is silver, so I decided to paint it a custom pearl black, had to dissasemble the whole truck to do this, but the end results are worth it.

well, I bought centrafuse the day it was released, I got a nice hookup with streetdeck as a moderator of a couple of sub forums here, then theres roadrunner which I've also done quite a few skins for myself too, so I can use any one of these front ends really, probably play with them all.
yeah, these are expensive, which is why I never even thought of getting one really, but I got this one at a really great price & just couldn't pass it up
even at a great price the parts are expensive too, I originally figured I'd try to fix most of the parts to keep the costs down, but then I kinda fell in love with the thing & decided I wanted to fix it perfect. in the end it'll still wind up costing me relatively cheap cause I fix it myself, but it's also real nice, there is not one ounce of body filler or putty on the whole truck, just virgin sheet metal, with black that's a huge plus.
to upgrade this truck to the new 08 style would normally cost a lot too, but I had to pretty much buy all the front stuff anyway so it was just a no brainer, same with the dash, to rip out a good dash to upgrade would be a bit hard to swallow, but I needed to buy a dash regardless, so it was also just the natural thing to do
then theres the maya 3 piece 20" wheels with the toyo proxies, another pretty expensive thing, but again on those, I got such a sweet deal on them that I just couldn't say no

yeah, I think this truck is worthy of a nice audio install too
first I'll integrate the pc with the factory bose & finish off the truck to be usable, then I'll plan out a system. probably wind up doing the dbx driverack in here I think, although an alpine 700 would be so much easier... I'l see when I get there
I usually wouldn't even buy a car that I couldn't fit 8"s in the doors & my horns under the dash, but i made an exception here, I still may be able to fit them but the space isn't ideal for that really, haven't played much with that yet, the doors look like they might take an 8"... we'll see
