@ jasonww
the second firebird pic looks the best, imho. the red one looks a little cheesey with the painted covers. maybe if the covers were clear like the newer corvette's headlights it would look better.

I'm basically taking a bi-xenon projector and making my own custom headlights. I've been working on the concept and design on and off for several years now.
I'm going to take a projector like this and build a sheet metal housing to seal it off and have mounting points.
Is this similar to what you did to the fogs?
I'm building everything from scratch, even the lense and the ventilation.
I think this is the finished look I want.
So if you have some more pics or hints, let me know.
What's up with the auto level system as well? Did you build It?
PS. Since I'm doing custom hood work I will probably extent the hood forward over the lights like this. What do you think?
Or should it keep the light covers larger, like stock?
OHHHHHH, the Silver Firebird looks nice..... The red one looks tacky.

That is pricey considering the headlights look like those old school square lights with what look like fog lights on the side of them...... Maybe there is something else it is converting? Like motor of something?

I feel like you could custom fabricate the headlights for a lot less than that. (which I think you're doing anyway) the hardest part would be making the lexan covers (which may affect the way the light shines through it though) but can be made with thermoforming.

if I'm not mistaken, I think I've seen conversion similar to that in the 30 range somewhere, can't fin d it now...
making a lexan lens would be really hard, if you figure that out lmk cause I'd love to be able to make my own lenses... the only thing I can think of is to make a plug of the shape out of wood, then melt the lens till it forms to the shape of the wood plug....

Sick!
First post here has to go to the sickest vehicle thread I have ever seen!!
Sweet ride Turbo.
I've got an 05 Murano, and I understand your view on the stock 7" screen mounting location. I have no idea where to put mine either......
Anyway, nice work, the FX's have a lot of class, and you haven't taken any of it away with your mods. Well done.

awesome install it encourages me to make my first carputer, love the details the vents look fantastic and how you managed to fit everything behind the dash.
but looking at all the pictures you have, i like the way the fx35 looks with the stock rims a lot more than those black rims.
but anyway great build great suv you have there and of course great skills you have.

I just read through this whole thread. By about page 14, I was only reading your posts, tho. Did you ever finish the other portion of the vents? I was wondering how you managed to get the horizontals to work.
Phenomenal work.
