sedtc has a little shameless behaviour in the past
i'm still diggin' the leather and wood, very classy. for some reason you guys who have taken the time to match the wood trim and blend with the oem interior in the car always impress me.

take it to the next level and add some 17" Daytons and Vogues!

i spy a newer deville, should i be looking forward to another top notch install in there as well?

i know this post is half a year old but wow, the 98 deville and the 97 seville have almost identical interiors... u still have this ride? would like to compare work/craftsmanship sometime mabee a few tricks etc etc

Hey Minddrive, TY. The 97 Seville and 98 Deville Concours are identical when it comes to the radio, climate and info panel. If you didn't want to lose the wood, I would offer to sell you that entire bezel I made (less LCD). I just bought an 02 Deville DTS and will be putting the PC in that this spring. This past weekend I returned the 98 to 100% stock (in 1.5 hrs!). You would never know it had a PC in there. It would be a shame to chuck all that nice woodwork. It really is a bolt in setup, just add monitor and GO! If you want, send me an e-mail and we can chat.

TY sedtc, you spy correctly! The new '02 DTS is my avatar, and I'll be doing a rather unique install on that one as well, Zebrano wood stained to match of course! I'll probably be staring a work log in a month or so!

Jhibb,

I got a new Caddy a few months ago, and am selling the 98. I am not selling it with the computer though

I took out all the wood pieces you see in the center (Info panel, CC, and LCD mount) and have them in my workshop. If you are interested in a complete bolt in unit (less the actual screen), I might be interested in selling it. The color would match the wood in your car as it did mine.

If you just want to know how to take out the radio, check out post #8 on this thread http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/work...ville-sts.html

Good luck!

Awesome setup I have a 94 Deville Concours that I want to install a Carpc in. I have an IBM x60 laptop with a cracked lcd that is looking perfect due to its tiny size.

ur right that x60 is small.. hard to beleive theres a computer in there lol... you could quite easily get that thing to work by taking the lid off and using an external monitor and keyboard/mouse and have the base stashed away somewhere

GL with ur project!! that thing looks like it would be very fragile once you take the innards out

Have you ever seen a gyration mouse before? I plan on using that in the setup someone, basically it is a remote control looking mouse that works off of gyro sensors. I got it for free from one of clients along with a wireless keyboard. So I guess I need to figure out what the would be good to use as an LCD.
